GOOD MORNING!
Did you happen to notice that CNC is looking a little different this morning? My buddy Blain (remember him from my HSPH days?) gave her a much-needed facelift (it had been 3 years!), and I am so incredibly happy with how everythingΒ turned out. It’s by far my favorite design yet. (Curious to see what CNC looked like over the years? Check out this post. She’s changed quite a bit!)
My weekend was awesome. Our friends, Matt and Kristen, from New York City stayed with us and we had such a niceΒ time with them. I am so glad they came to visit. It had been awhile since we had last seen themΒ and they finally got to meet Quinn, which was so fun for us. Anyway, here are 7 things that happened this weekend!
1. Friday night was low-key. We enjoyed some drinks with Matt and Kristen and chatted with them well into the night. I drank someΒ Bay and Barnes Block Sauvignon BlancΒ (from Wegmans), and it was soooo delicious. I highly recommend it!
2. We ate breakfast at home on Saturday morning and we had quite the spread: scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit salad, bagels with pumpkin cream cheese, mimosas, OJ, and coffee. Mmm! Laid-back breakfast + good friends = the best.
3. We went to lunch at Hingham Beer Works on Saturday afternoon. Quinn ended up having a massiveΒ poop explosion that went everywhere and we didn’t pack an extra outfit for him (parenting fail), so Mal ran next door to Old Navy to buy him a new outfit. Ooh, life with a baby! There’s never a dull moment. Haha!
4. After lunch, we went to a beer tasting at Curtis Liquors. I didn’t try any new beers that I loved, but it was still fun trying them!
5. Sunday morning started with breakfast at Uncle Charlie’s Diner. I ordered eggs, home fries, and a grilled English muffin. I also helped Mal eat some of his pancakes.
6. Quinn loves Murphy. This photo makes me so happy.
7. I went for a run with Kerrie on Sunday afternoon. After quite an indulgent weekend (dining out, drinking way too much booze), it felt good to “reset” my healthy habits for the upcoming week.
Questions of the Day
What do you do toΒ “reset” yourself after an indulgent weekend?Β
Any good poop explosion stories to share?Β
P.S. Be sure to enter my giveaway to win a TRE jogging stroller from Chicco! I will pick a winner tomorrow morning!

Hi Tina! Loving the new look of the blog!! I always have a little wine and dessert on the weekends, so I look forward to starting fresh on Monday. Healthy meals, a good workout and lots of water through the week … then I do it all over again! Yay for visitors:) Oh and I have no kids, so thank goodness I have no poop stories for you.
Love the redesign! Sleek, clean, simple – that’s solid web design. It took a moment to realize it was the CNC I’ve always loved! π
Yesterday after a fun family dinner full of lots of things I don’t usually eat, I scooted out for a pretty good workout at the gym. It felt good to just move and get back into my own head, if that makes any sense. It’s always nice when I get to indulge every once in a while. It also makes me feel good to get back on track!
Q’s new outfit is perfect! Red plaid – love!
New look is nice!
I’m still sad about the recipe section…miss it being so user friendly to check out recipes.
I always just try to start out the week with a healthy breakfast and have a few days of healthy food options. That said, I have chocolate nearly everyday, on reset days, I just keep it to a minimum as a small treat!
Looks like a fun weekend! Cute new outfit, apparently Quinn just wanted to go shopping!
Going to swim laps always resets me. π
You give me such hope I can still have fun after I have a baby. π and that my kid could be friends with his pug brother!
I try to plan my workouts for the week on Sunday night. I also lay my clothes out for monday morning’s workout. I try to do a non-sweet breakfast and a salad for lunch. This seems to help me keep it that way for the week. Another thing I try to do is forgo any alcoholic beverages Monday-Friday since I usually indulge on the weekends. Tonight is an exception b/c my team plays monday night football. Go Eagles!!
Love the design! I need to change my design desperately. I am still with Blogger and want to go to Word Press. Any recommendations on blog designers?
I always feel like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. Q is looking adorable.
Adding that wine to my must-try list — thanks for the rec! My favorite sauvignon blanc is from New Zealand but it can be on the pricey side, so I’m excited to try this!
Whenever I can I like to sneak in a yoga class on Sunday night to help me wind down and mentally prepare for the work week.
I actually thought I went to the wrong blog at first haha The new design looks great though!!
Love the new look of the blog!
Love the new design. I’m with you on needing to reset after an indulgent weekend!! ALL of the wineβΒ¦ and chips, ice cream, chocolate.. Oh dear. My solution was a nice long run and a green juice on Sunday afternoon followed by a pretty healthy dinner.
How are you feeling after starting Remicade? I really, really hope you’re starting to feel better π
I am! Thanks for asking! Γ’Β€ï¸Β
Sounds like a great weekend! Love the new design!

Love the new design! My poop story is about my second son who was a new toddler at the time. We had just moved to El Paso, TX and I really wanted to connect with new moms. I met up with a new friend and her kids at the local McPlayplace and we were having a great time until we looked over and saw a tiny poop slip out of the leg of my son’s play suit and onto the floor! I was horrified but we laughed as we cleaned it up and ended up becoming good friends!
I need a buddy named Blain! Any chance he freelances his webdesign skills out? I love the new look! I am attempting to reset myself off a weekend of LAZY. It was glorious. But now getting back in the grind is tough business. I’m thinking a peppy Zumba class and funky playlist may be just the ticket:)
Love the new design!
Q is too cute with him plaid shirt!
When my youngest son had his christening he had been sick the few days before and was still dealing with explosive diarrhea. I literally had to wrap a receiving blanket under his outfit “just in case.” And thank god I did because sure enough it happened again and I had to change him during the middle of the ceremony lol. At least now I can look back at it as a funny memory.
I love the face-lift! This site has always been an inspiration to me since you first started it! Thank you Tina! I really love the update. Looks great π
I was at storytime at the library with my 2 1/2 year-old son and my four-month-old daughter in my lap. She had the biggest poop explosion on herself and me. I had a change of clothes for her but not for myself but my son refused to leave storytime. yeah that was awesome
I feel like we lived and breathed poop for so long. Last year around Christmas, every single time I put Brooklyn in her special Christmas outfit (pictures with Santa, Christmas Day, etc.), she had a MAJOR blow out and we had to throw her outfit in the washer immediately. God forbid she didn’t match Emerson! π
My six month old baby girl is the poop explosion Queen! I think at least every other day she poops up the front out the sides or up the back of her diaper . The best has been when we were sitting at the table eating and she pooped super loud. All of the sudden I was really wet on my stomach and lap. Needless to say it was poop… everywhere. I am thankful we were at home for that!
Love the redesign! π
We took Eleanor to a Detroit Tigers game when she was 3 months. She had a mega blowout while hubby was getting us food. I had outfits for her but nothing for me and I was wearing a white shirt, lol!
