6:15 Departure

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

Iโ€™m the owner of Carrots โ€˜Nโ€™ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and canโ€™t lose weight no matter what they do.

Do you know what a 6:15 departure means? Well, let me tell you! ๐Ÿ˜‰

It means laying out everything you need for your trip the night before, right down to undergarments and deodorant that you will put on your armpits (both of which you do not want to forget).

It also means showering and blow drying your hair the night before so you can “sleep in.”

A 6:15 departure means that a car arrives at your house at 4:15 to take you to the airport. This means that you need to set your alarm even earlier.

An early departure means that you are willing to wait outside a closed Starbucks at the airport for 15 minutes just to get what you need to start your day.

For me, it was an iced soy latte, Cran Apple Bran Muffin, and a banana.

Boarding soon!

  1. I have a 6:05 am flight tomorrow! OY!

and PLEASE tell me how you use your iphone alarm clock. I have set it a gazillion times and it NEVER works!!! its as if it shuts off in the middle of the night!!! grrrr

  2. I had a 7 am flight to Boston to visit my family over Thanksgiving. The airport is an hour away, so I ended up waking up at 3:30. Horrible.

Early flights only sound good when you’re booking them, oh, five months in advance.

    Safe travels!

  3. I work at 6am every day so I’m up around 4:30am and your table looks like mine looks every morning. Funny thing is, I used to do the same thing when I was younger…down to putting plastic wrap on my already-poured bowl of cereal with the box next to it. Overplanner much?

  4. I do the exact same thing as you on early mornings with my clothes – I lay everything out in piles on my bedroom floor. There’s the gym pile, the work clothes pile, and the whatever-I’m-doing-after-work pile! It kind of looks messy, but it’s the only way not to forget things. I hope you have a safe flight! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I think that the only thing that would actually get me out of bed would be the fact that at the end of the commute, there’s a Starbucks. Have a safe trip.

  6. The last 6 am flight I took out was just a couple of weeks ago…apparently I planned a little too well and not only did I beat the starbucks opening but security wasn’t even open to check passengers!

  7. Have a great trip!

One year I waited in the airport for 4 hours for a trip to Mexico. Got dropped off at 4:30AM for an 8:30 flight…snooooze. ๐Ÿ˜›

  8. I can hardly ever sleep when I know i have to be up early because I’m terrified of sleeping through my alarm. I think it’s funny how all your other alarms aren’t on the hour, mine never are either. 7:16 is such a better time than 7:15.

  9. Wow… that is mighty, mighty early. I usually only go to sleep about two hours before you got up! I’d totally get up that early for Starbucks though, because we don’t have any Starbucks at all here in my city in Australia!
