Looking for a super simple gluten-free treat? This Butterscotch Chex Mix is an irresistibly sweet and crunchy dessert made with only four ingredients!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 12 ounces Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup butterscotch morsels 

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. 
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  3. Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl or measuring cup and melt. 
  4. Remove butter from the microwave and combine with brown sugar. 
  5. Place Chex in a large mixing bowl and then pour the brown sugar mixture over the Chex and fully coat. 
  6. Pour mixture on the prepared baking sheet in an even layer and then bake for 8 minutes.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and then pour butterscotch morsels all over the Chex.
  8. Toss the Chex with a wooden spoon as the butterscotch morsels melt. 
  9. Allow Chex to fully cool before serving. 
  10. Try not to eat the whole batch in one sitting. 🙂
