25 Things You Don’t Know About Me

I love celebrity gossip, so I love reading US Weekly. I’m a subscriber, so an issue arrives every week on my front porch. I typically spend my Friday nights reading it in bed. (I live a crazy life.)

One of my favorite features in US Weekly is ’25 Things You Don’t Know About Me,’ where a celebrity reveals twenty-five tidbits about themselves. I thought it would be fun to do on Carrots ‘N’ Cake, so here are twenty-five things you don’t know about me!

  2. I own an insane number of tank tops.
  3. The smell of Red Bull makes me gag.

  6. I slept in a dresser drawer as a newborn.
  7. I prefer running alone than with someone else.
  8. My biggest pet peeve is loud chewing.

Question of the Day

What are some things people don’t know about you?

  1. My husand planted marigolds for me. I told him I loved them but I don’t! GASP!! I love him, but the marigolds…have got to go!!

  2. Loved reading this post! The chewing thing bothers me especially too, although I take it a bit further in that I also can’t stand when you can hear someone breathing. I know it’s weird, but I’ve actually been known to change seats in a movie theater because of it!

  3. Oh, so many similar likes and dislikes!
I have to be VERY careful in Target.
Vermont and Maine are two of my favorite places in the world: Montpelier is like Heaven!
I often wonder why the people who drink Red Bull don’t notice that it tastes EXACTLY like old-school Robitussin.
I, too, own a ridiculous amount of tank tops.
I also love to walk, especially in a place I haven’t been to before. It’s the best way to get to know the area. (I wish I could drive less, but living with 2 kids in the suburbs, well, driving is a necessity.)
Even though we live near my dream city (San Francisco), there are times when I miss Los Angeles. And I NEVER thought that would happen, lol!
I am sometimes one of those loud chewers. But I hate it when other people do it, so I try to be more vigilant.

  4. Bahaha-you seem quite the fabulous one to get to know 🙂 I like celebrity gossip once in awhile as well….I hate dirty dishes in the sink (when going to bed, all dishes must be clean), I am obsessed with frozen yogurt, I am a homebody to the tee, and I am morbidly afraid of spiders. I too would rather walk anywhere….

  5. loud chewing and smacking.
people who blow little loud bubbles with their gum.
drivers who clog the passing lane…..all MAJOR pet peeves!

  6. I never answer my phone either! Sometimes I forget that I even have a phone and I have it on silent during the day at work and school and forget to turn it back to ring.

One thing about me is that I am oddly superstitious. If I wear a ring, for example, one day and have a horrible day then I probably won’t wear it again for quite a while.

  7. I’m a pessimist too. I like to call it being a realist though.
    I have 5 tattoos.
    I’m a good swimmer.
    I read like 3 books a week.
I fantasize about having babies a lot.
    🙂

  8. I am fairly certain my first concert was also NKOTB and I wore overalls like Donnie’s (even though I was a Jordan fan)…one strap flapping behind me and all.

    🙂

  9. I HATE stray hairs. I have been known to pick them off of people I just meet because they bother me so much. I especially hate stray hair on any type of flooring, especially carpet and the bathroom floor…one word…GROSS!

  10. I’ve pierced my belly button twice but don’t keep a ring in it now.

    My first word was duck.

I like running outside but really enjoy the treadmill.

I watch more prison shows and reality TV than anything else.

I love driving long distance but hate short distances.

  11. I love this idea! Great list and by the way, #1, 3, 13, 17, and 23 also apply to me. Another thing that most people don’t know about me: although I played soccer from age 5 to 18, I am terrified of starting again because I am worried I’ve “lost it.” And by “it” I mean talent! But I think I should get back out there again soon and give it a try.

  12. A lot of people don’t know that I was once a dancer for 15 years. I was dancing 30 hours a week before I got injured, I dream of getting my back strong enough again to take a simple dance class if I wanted to…

  13. I absolutely LOVE this post! And even more so that you read this magazine as I love it too! One thing people may not know – is I could literally have my day revolve around Target. I love it and can buy everything I need there – food, fashion, home decor, everything! The fact that Starbucks is now there is an extra perk! 🙂

  14. Love your honest 25 things about you! I also hate people who litter and have never broken a bone. Even though I tried to in elementary school because I wanted a hot pink cast. Dork!

  15. Oh man, so much in common!

    – I never want to run with other people… it’s my ‘me-time’
    – I also never answer my phone… always in screen mode apparently
    – I ALWAYS set my alarm to a random number. This morning, for example, was 7:06. I think it’s like Monica on Friends only eating tic-tacs in odd numbers.
    – I know how to get anywhere in Boston walking or taking the T or the bus. but if you ask me for driving directions, i will give you a blank stare
    – I was captain of my HS soccer team too! I played in college too… and man do I miss it

    Thanks for sharing!!

  16. That is awesome! — my first word was “meow” 😀
    Similar to your “kitty” hehe.
Also, most people don’t know that I have two scars on my tummy from my appendicitis operation when I was 7 years old. My appendix had burst inside me so it was a rush to get me to the hospital! Very grateful for that doctor who saved my life 🙂

  17. Ha ha! My first word was tiger! Also in the cat family but at the other end of the scale. Do you think stuff like that reflects personality differences? (I hope not as that would presumably make me aggressive and scary and you cute and lovable!)
Why don’t you like to drive?
