Hi, friends!
July was quite the month. I still can’t believe we’re in Cabo right now doing CrossFit. OMG, it’s an amazing way to end the month. With that said, here are my favorite posts from July!
The other day, Mal and I were both in bad moods (oh, Gemini mood swings), which, of course, is never a good time. Usually, when one of us is in a crappy mood, the other person helps them snap out of it, but Mal and I kept annoying each other and making little snide comments.
Gluten-Free & Egg-Free “Cookie Dough”
Good morning! Happy Hump Day! I visited my new nephew, Matthew, yesterday afternoon. He’s only a day older since the last time I saw him, but he’s already so different. The first day I saw him when he was only 24 hours old, he just slept and didn’t do much.
Five years ago today, I married my best friend. And it’s been a wonderful and amazing adventure ever since! I honestly can’t imagine some of the best moments of my life without Mal by my side. He’s the greatest guy and, boy, do we have a lot of fun together!
Hello, hello! I apologize for slacking on my weekly meal plans lately. It’s been so frickin’ hot on the South Shore lately, I haven’t done much cooking. We don’t have AC in our house (just the bedroom), so the thought of turning on the oven when it’s 90-something degrees outside is just not appealing.
What To Pack for a CrossFit Competition
Hi, friends! Ever since I blogged about my first CrossFit competition, I’ve received a number of questions asking about what I packed (food included), so I decided to write a post about it. I should start by pointing out that I’ve only done one CrossFit competition, so I am definitely not an expert.
New Training Plan & Head-to-Toe Summer Running Gear
Hello, hello! I’m running a half marathon this fall, so my friend Abby hooked me up with a personalized training plan. It incorporates running and CrossFit, and it’s amazing. Abby makes these customized training plans for all kinds of runners with all types of goals, so if you’re interested in working with her, drop her an email.
This dog”¦ I love him more than anything and, boy, does he make me happy. I honestly can’t imagine my life without him. I also can’t imagine him with any other name than “Murphy.” When Mal and I took Murphy to the dog park this past weekend, we met another Murphy there.
Hello, hello! I get a lot of inquiries about my daily green juice, so I decided to write a post with my favorite recipe as well as answer some of the frequently asked questions I receive about juicing. First things first! The recipe below is for the green juice I make almost every morning.
Hi, guys! Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I love it when other bloggers recap their workouts for the week. I like seeing what they do for exercise and how they balance their various workouts and incorporate rest days, so I decided to recap last week’s workouts for all of you nice people.
The Time We Put Murphy in a Cooler
It was 95 degrees yesterday, which, as we say in our house, is “too hot for pugs.” I waited until the early evening to take Murphy for his afternoon walk, but it was still too hot for him. When we returned from our walk, Murphy was panting like crazy and sort of pacing around.
The other day, I had a serious craving for chocolate chip cookies, but there was no way in hell I was about to turn on my oven. It’s been so hot here lately! Instead of giving up on my craving all together, I decided to whip up a batch of no-bake cookies.
Hi, guys! Happy Sunday! Just checking in with a quick post about the CrossFit-inspired workout that I did with celebrity trainer Yumi Lee yesterday morning. Reebok arranged this workout for our media group, and it was a lot of fun (and a lot harder than I expected – more on that in a second).
4 Healthy Things I Don’t Do When I Travel
Since I’m traveling today, I planned to write a travel-inspired blog post. I thought about doing the whole healthy travel thing, but I know I’ve done that before on CNC. You’ve seen me pack all kinds of healthy foods. You’ve read posts about my favorite travel-friendly meals and snacks.
