Good morning!

I’m off to the airport bright and early this morning to catch a flight to Portland, Oregon for Fitbloggin’. I am attending the conference on behalf of Reebok and Fitfluential, and I am super excited about it!

fitbloggin'

Fitbloggin’ is my favorite fitness/blogger conference, and I always have so much fun at it!

If you’re wondering what Fitbloggin’ is all about, feel free to check out my previous posts. I attended both Fitbloggin’ 11 and Fitbloggin’ 12, and, oh my goodness, they were an awesome time!

I spent yesterday afternoon getting myself organized and all packed up for Fitbloggin’. The conference is a mix of info sessions, discussions, and workouts, so everyone is pretty casual and wears workout clothes for the most part. At night, however, most people like to go out, explore the area, go to dinner… that type of stuff, so I packed a mix of workout and “regular” clothes. Of course, Murphy (aka “Mr. Nosy Pug”) needed to check out everything I packed. He got his nose right in there!

Once I had my clothing all packed up, it was onto the food! Priorities, people!

As you know, I am a huge fan of packing meals and snacks to take with me when I travel. I know you can usually find healthy options at the airport, but I always find myself eating the same few things (bananas, KIND bars, Starbucks) over and over again, and, honestly, I’m just bored with the typical selections. I would rather bring my own food because I know I will like it, and it’s nutritious and satisfying. Plus, with a chronic digestive disease, it just makes life easier since I am still playing around with how certain foods affect my body.

FYI: This post is FULL of my favorite healthy, travel-friendly meals and snacks!

Here’s what I packed:

  • Breakfast: Butternut squash, sliced banana, and almond butter.
  • Lunch #1 (I have a second lunch with friends planned in Portland): Sauteed spinach, Brussels sprouts, peas, ground turkey, and avocado.

Ok, giveaway time! That’s what you were waiting for, right? 😉

Reebok is really excited about their presence at Fitbloggin’ this weekend, so they wanted to create some additional buzz by giving away a $100 gift card to a lucky CNC reader! The gift card can be use online or in-store to purchase your choice of fitness gear from Reebok. I picked some of my favorites below!
