It’s kind of fun blogging from an airplane. It’s definitely a first for me!
Ok, let’s backtrack to lunch.
This afternoon, my friend, Jen, took me out to lunch for my birthday. I wasn’t planning to drink, but as soon as Jen ordered an “extra spicy Bloody Mary,” I knew that I wanted one too. Hey, it’s my birthday!
We had lunch at The Fours, where I ordered a bowl of chili, which was topped with cheddar cheese and tortilla chips. The chili was not at all healthy– it was super greasy and really meaty, but man was it delicious! I ate all of the tortilla chips and almost all of the chili.
Mal and I got to the airport in a matter of minutes. Jen knew a sweet shortcut through South Boston that I got us to the airport in practically no time. For Boston rush hour traffic, Jen’s “secret” route was honestly a miracle!
On the plane ride, I continued my birthday celebration with a glass of Chardonnay. I also downed a glass of water and snacked on a lemon-flavored Larabar instead of eating the complementary airline pretzels. My pretzels didn’t go to waste though– my hubby gobbled them up without hesitation.
M & T in flight…
I didn’t get asked for my ID when I ordered my wine on the plane this evening. Maybe I look 29?!?
And just for fun, Mal’s plane snacks: a hamburger, 2 bags of pretzels, and a can of Budweiser. Somehow, he barely has any fat on his body!
Midway through the flight, one of the female attendants offered our row a free row of drinks. I didn’t need another drink, but my hubby reminded me it was my birthday, so I took advantage of the free glass of wine. (I think the flight attendant thought my husband was cute!)
Oh yea, I munched on some CNC trail mix, too.
We land in Seattle a little after 9:00 PM, so, depending on how we feel after our nearly 6-hour flight, Mal and I might head to a family party or just hit the hay.
Stay tuned for more of our west coast adventures!!!
