Questions of the Day

Your weekend:

What was the best thing that happened on Saturday?

What was the best thing that happened on Sunday?

What was the best thing you ate all weekend?

  1. Best of Saturday: an impromptu wine tasting at Bin Ends
Best of Sunday: our baby slept through the night for the first time!
Best thing I ate: a cinnamon sugar doughnut my sister brought me from The Holy Donut in Portland! Best ever.

  2. I’ve seen that expression in other photos of him and love it! His little personality is clearly shining through. Looks like you guys had a fun and active weekend! I’m convinced some people really are baby whisperers with getting babies to sleep, too.

  3. Love the family photo!
Best thing Saturday was babysitting my niece.
Best thing Sunday was spending time with my girlfriends.
Best thing I ate was an amazing Greek salad.

  4. Saturday’s best: Taking my parents to their first (and my fave) vegan restaurant in NYC- Peacefood Cafe.
Sunday’s best: Showing them around Chelsea Market and stopping at Whole Foods to stock up on Pipsnacks. (My parents watched Shark Tank this week and now they’re obsessed with this tiny popcorn.)
Best thing I ate: So tough… Probably the veggie sushi I ate at Chelsea Market from Beyond Sushi. Amazing!

  5. We bought a new house this weekend! Definitely the highlight! And the best thing I ate was Oh She Glow’s Dark Chocolate Coconut Tart that a friend made on Saturday… it was SO crazy good (I may have eaten a second piece for breakfast w/ coffee the next morning…)

  6. Quinn’s expression looks like those Ryan Gosling “Hey Girl” memes!

“Hey, Girl. I don’t always hang out with beautiful women but when I do I call her Mom!”

  7. Quinn is too cute! His expression in that photo is priceless!

The best thing on Saturday: sleeping in ’til 10am!
The best thing on Sunday: sweet tea from McAlister’s Deli 🙂
Best eat: rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus for Sunday dinner

  8. The best of Saturday I was able to cram two exams In during Nap Time!!!

The best of Sunday was watching Newsroom and Homeland!

I’m sort of obsessed with Gelato lately. So I save the weekends to indulge!

  9. This weekend, my sisters and I went out of town, stayed in a hotel in Portland and went out dancing all night! It was so much fun, but I am tooo old for this and might not do that ever again! I still don’t have a voice today 🙁

On a side note, I’m not sure what has changed, but your page is now loading REALLY slow, and when it does load, there are pop-up ads over the bottom of your pictures. I’ve never seen this before, but I am just figuring it is part of the new set-up?

  10. Saturday – newborn photo shoot of our little man
    Sunday- wearing sweats

Best thing I ate- vanilla cupcake from whole foods!!!

  11. We chilled out both days which was nice.

The best thing I ate ate was actually oatmeal with cottage cheese melted inside and strawberries mixed in. Weird but I find it extremely comforting. 🙂

Your little Quinn is getting the cutest face! He has always been cute but you know how babies kind of grow into their face? That probably makes no sense. Anyway, he’s adorable.

  12. Best of Saturday: Attended the SAGL (Southern Amateur Grid League) it was a blast and some major motivation for this weeks workouts. My hubster also took off work so we had a great date day
Best of Sunday: Downsizing for our cross country move
Best thing I ate: Cookie Cake from Publix

  13. Such a gorgeous pic of the four of you! Hosted a supper club were I worked on Friday night, great fun! Best thing I ate…brussel salad! Up on the blog today with parma ham, soft boiled egg and toasted hazelnuts!

  14. Saturday – Bought a new Christmas tree!
Sunday – My sister and I helped our Mama decorate for Christmas.
Best thing I ate/drank – HOT CHOCOLATE from Panera! The chocolate chip marshmellows were well worth the 500 calories!

  15. What was the best thing that happened on Saturday? A sushi date! And a clean apartment.

What was the best thing that happened on Sunday? Finally began working on a drawing I started a few months ago again while listening to music and drinking white chocolate peppermint tea from Teavana. It was a ‘me’ day and so relaxing.

What was the best thing you ate all weekend? Sweet potato tempura sushi roll topped with lobster.

  16. Best thing Saturday: shopping the LOFT sale
Best thing Sunday: watching Christmas movies on Hallmark!
Best eat: homemade peanut butter, banana, chocolate cookies + vanilla ice cream

  17. Best Saturday: Went Christmas shopping with my sister (without my toddler – first time!).

Best Sunday: Got a table and chairs set for my daughter. She was so excited!

Best food: Mexican food on Friday at lunch with a friend… queso dip. Yuuum.

Quinn’s expression is fantastic! Heyyyy, ladies!

  18. Cute pictures! We have a legendary donut shop in San Francisco called Bob’s, and I enjoyed a lovely glazed donut and fritter from there to capture the title of BEST things I ate this weekend. But I also worked out, so there you go. Happy Monday! 🙂

  19. Best thing Saturday: Celebrating a friend’s birthday with brunch and then drinks later in the evening!
Best thing Sunday: Cheering on some strong ladies at a local CrossFit comp and seeing two teams from my box podium! Oh, and baby cuddles with a girlfriend’s 2-month-old daughter 🙂
Food: Take-out Thai with my boyfriend on Saturday. We discovered the place a block from his apartment has KHAO SOI which is our favorite dish! It didn’t disappoint, and that’s saying a lot since we’ve both been to Thailand. Mmm I’m drooling just thinking about it now.

  20. Quinn is honestly adorable! You, my dear, have a very cute baby.

Saturday: Casual Pizza Night with great friends!
Sunday: 40th anniversary service for our pastor at church
Eats: Chili & Sour Cream Baked Potatoes for our dinner (yum-o)

  21. Saturday: Nephew’s birthday bounce house… for my daughter of course.
Sunday: Being lazy around the house instead of our usual cleaning.
Best thing I ate: Havarti cheese on crackers with homemade apple butter. Yum!

  22. I love your family picture — seriously the best baby expression I’ve seen in a while. “Yeah, I know I’m adorable.”

I got a special Do Nothing Day from the boyfriend. He cooked, cleaned, and ran errands, all the while insisting that I only do things like play video games and knit. It was ridiculously relaxing, but I am ready to get back to my normal, frenzied pace. It is so weird to stay still for that long.

  23. I had the most delicious burger this weekend. It’s one of those treats the boyfriend and I can only handle (financially and stomach wise) once every few months. And it was so worth it. 🙂

Love your weekend photos, that family picture is precious.

  24. Best thing Sat – home cooked meal and an on demand movie with my hubby (love date night in on a chilly fall night!)
Best thing Sun – rewarding ourselves with lunch at b.good after putting our yard to bed for the winter
Best thing I ate – Batch salted caramel ice cream (have you tried it…they’re based here in Boston!)
