Seriously. I am almost too tired to eat. Well, I can always eat, but you know what I mean!
I took an hour-long step aerobics class at the YMCA tonight, and it kicked my butt! I am totally pooped! The class’s instructor was absolutely amazing though. She was enthusiastic and motivating without being too over-the-top, and she pushed us hard for the full 60 minutes. On my way out of the Y, I even filled out a comment card about her awesomeness, which is something I never do. I swear, my muscles are already sore! I’m going to sleep like a baby tonight!
After a shower and organizing things for tomorrow, I could not make dinner; I just didn’t have it in me. So, dinner was a wonderful bowl of cereal with banana slices. Nice and simple.

My bowl of cereal was yummy, filling, and required little effort.

Breakfast (continued)
On my commute into work, I grabbed this lovely beverage: a non-fat soy misto with cinnamon. Mmmmmm! It kept me buzzing along all morning!

I can be so high maintenance when it comes to coffee!
I worked as a barista at Starbucks for about 3 years, so I am familiar with all of their drinks and customizations. And, of course, you guys know that I love to be creative with my food! Beverage customization just comes naturally to me!
Check out the doozie that I ordered this afternoon:

If you wanted to order this drink, you would ask for a “decaf, tall, sugar-free vanilla, soy milk, misto.” Okay, that is totally ridiculous! I admit it! In plain English, the drink that I ordered is half decaf coffee, half soy milk with vanilla flavoring added in. Anyway, this is part of my afternoon snack.
Since we are on the Starbucks subject– has anyone tried this Espresso Truffle beverage? Apparently, it is Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate with a shot of espresso. Sounds divine!

Lunch
Today’s lunch was another grab-and-go at 7:45 this morning. I need to try a little harder in the lunch department!
Part one of lunch was a toasted Van’s waffle with Teddie peanut butter spread on top. I left my waffle in the toaster oven a little too long and the edges burnt! Thankfully, it smelled like a toasted pastry, so no one in my office complained. I’m sure you office people are with me about the burnt popcorn smell! It’s gross and lingers for-ever, right?

Lunch also included vanilla Stonyfield yogurt with chopped apple, cinnamon, and sliced walnuts.

The yogurt combo was a mushy mess! It wasn’t pretty, but it tasted great!
With waffle and PB…

My high maintenance coffee is holding off my hunger well. I have a JamFrakas bar if I get the grumbles later on this afternoon.

I’m so lenient with my food choices on Fridays. Not that I eat horribly, but I more easily incorporate “fun” selections into my Friday diet. My eating on the weekend is somewhat lenient too, especially with eating out and get-togethers, but during the day, I usually stick to my (mostly) healthy diet and make sure that I fit in a sweaty workout. I know that some people believe that you shouldn’t “reward” yourself with food, but there’s just something about Fridays that make me loosen the reigns! Hello, big glass of wine!
My Friday lunch started with a blueberry-flavored Chobani, which was my first fruit-flavored yogurt from the brand. I’ve eaten the plain and vanilla flavors in the past, but never a fruity one. The verdict: awesome! Loved it! It was pretty much an amped-up blueberry yogurt with more protein and less sugar, but just as creamy and flavorful. To my Chobani, I added TJ’s high-fiber “twig” cereal. (I keep a bag in my office desk for easy access. It’s so much better than portioning a small plastic baggie and trekking it to work each time you want cereal in your yogurt… at least in my opinion!)

Lunch also included a lemon-flavored Larabar, which is currently #3 in my Larabar Flavor Rankings, but after my tasty experience this afternoon, it might move to spot #2! It tastes just like a lemon square!

I had a few quick errands to run after lunch, so on my way back to the office, I popped in JP Licks for a maple soy misto. Oh my gosh, it was amazing, and I haven’t had one in forever! Last year, Starbucks had this wonderful maple syrup that they used for their maple latte, but unfortunately, they discontinued it this year… which meant no maple mistos for Tina. How sad.
I was excited to see that JP Licks had a maple latte (and maple syrup!) on their menu, so I just had to order a maple misto! One word: divine! It’s funny how happy food makes me sometimes!

Dinner Date at South Station
Because Mal and I leave for NYC right around dinnertime and don’t arrive until 9:30 PM, we planned to grab dinner at South Station before we get on the bus. There are quite a few healthy food options at South Station– I’m thinking of ordering a sandwich from Cosi or Au Bon Pain? Whatever it is, it definitely needs to be something easy to eat on a cramped bus! What would you get for a 4.5 hour bus ride?
1 more hour of work, and then mini-vacation!
