Today has been filled with so many of my favorite foods! I love days like this– my mouth and mind have been continuously satisfied and happy!
Dinner looks like it’s going to be delicious, too!
Afternoon Snack
During my errands this afternoon, which included shopping for some new clothing for work, dropping-off dry cleaning, picking-up a prescription, and purchasing a video game for Mal (I’m such an enabler!), I popped into Whole Foods for a leisurely stroll around the store. I loooovvve visiting WF by myself! I can take as long as I want to peruse the isles, look for new products, and examine nutrition labels. I’m not going to lie, I really look forward to visiting Whole Foods when I have the time to browse!
In addition to a few groceries, I purchased some yogurt-covered almonds to tie me over until dinner.

Lunch
Lunch was a Greek yogurt mish-mash of goodness. I started with a container of vanilla-flavored Chobani, which I poured into a bowl, and then added the following goodies to it:

…a crumbled-up Honest Foods Cran Lemon Zest granola square…

as well as banana slices and wheat berries.

The mushy mess was delightful, zesty, and filling! Loved it!

With ice water and an Adora disk…

Mal’s Snack
Mr. Mal wanted to share his post-workout snack with all of you. (I think he was especially proud of the smoothie he created with the Vita Mix Blender!)
In the mix:
- YouShake chocolate protein powder (Breakfast Shake)
- Chocolate soy milk
- Frozen mixed berries
- Ice
Mal said that his chocolate-berry concoction was the perfect way to refuel after a tough workout!

I woke up at 7:30 this morning, but somehow, it seem like I have had a late start to my morning. I finished eating breakfast around 10:45, which is pretty usual for me. I like eating my breakfast early! The reasons for my late-ish breakfast include: exercise, a shower, cleaning, and grocery shopping. At least, I’ve accomplished something this morning!
Workout
I ran for 40 minutes on the treadmill this morning. My sister and I have plans to purchase new running sneakers and go for a run later this afternoon, so I kept my run somewhat short.
Run stats:
- Distance: 4.55 miles
- Time: 40:00
- Pace: 8:45 min/mile
- Calories: 448
Breakfast
By the time Mal and I got back from grocery shopping, I was beyond hungry… even a little bit cranky! I threw together a bowl of vanilla Chobani with peanut butter Puffins and Zoe’s granola. On the side, I had a blood orange, which was a Christmas stocking stuffer from Santa!
With D&D coffee…

Check out the pug socks that I am wearing today! They make me so happy!
I have more cleaning on the agenda this morning, and then I am meeting my sister and my friend, Jen for lunch downtown. I hope I am hungry by then!
Enjoy the day, guys! I’ll be back later with more posts– I have quite a backlog!

I kept lunch a little on the light side today to save room for our office holiday party later this afternoon. I’ve already seen a preview of some of the yummy treats, and I am getting excited to splurge! Tis the season!
My light lunch included a homemade salad with leftover Roasted Brussels Sprouts…

… spinach, arugula, tomatoes, carrots, and red onions. Delicious and voluminous!

In addition, lunch included a container of strawberry Chobani with Kashi Go Lean Crunch, which was fiberific! My stomach is SO full now!

And a little something sweet to conclude lunch…

I won’t likely take photographs of the holiday party goodies, mostly because my entire department will be there, and technically, it’s a meeting with an agenda and all that. A camera is basically out of place… plus, explaining my blog to the Deans would be awkward! I’ll do my best to keep a running tally of holiday eats for a recap tonight.
For the bloggers, do you ever blog at your job? Does your boss/place of employment know about your blog?
Slow Loading?
I’ve had a few complaints about CNC taking for-ever to load. Is this a common issue for you guys? I talked to a couple of people about the problem, and I think that I have some ideas to hopefully fix it ASAP!
