House Tour

Mal and I bought our first house in October 2010 after about three months of actively searching. We originally made an offer on a different house, but the home inspection did not turn out well. It actually ended up being a blessing in disguise because our current house is much better suited to us and we love it! If you’d like to read about our search process, check out this post.

Here are all of our house-related posts as well as those related to organization and decorating!

Weclome to our home! More photos will be added as we ‘finish’ the rooms, so be sure to check back from time-to-time!

I can’t wait to see the finished office! :) I am such a nerd when it comes to office space, I can’t wait until I own my own house and can have my own office!

I noticed on your fireplace you have some soot stains. I was watching HGTV this past weekend and they recommended spraying that foaming tile and tub cleaner on the brick. You let it sit for a few minutes and then scrub it off with a hard bristled brush.

What a beautiful home. I love the hardwood floors. My husband and I just got married a year ago and we are saving to buy our first home as well.

Hi, Tina
Your home is gorgeous! Where did you get that beautiful coral television armoire? It’s just what I’ve been looking for for years!
Thanks!

@allison: A friend gave it to us, so I’m not really sure. Sorry!

Hi Tina!
I have been reading you book. I was checking out some “stuff” on your blog. This has nothing to do with carrots or cake… where did you get you media cabinet for you TV? We have been searching for something like that.

By the way, I love your approach to life, especially cookie Friday!
:) Tracey
