Hi, friends! Happy Labor Day! 

So, yesterday morning, I woke up craving something different for breakfast. I still wanted something carb-y and delicious, so I opted for Pumpkin Spice Cheerios mixed with Rice Chex and banana slices. I wanted to make sure my breakfast had some protein in it, so I added two scoops of collagen (12g) to the almond milk. Perfect! 

After breakfast, Quinn and I played Play-Doh for quite a long time. We opened a new set of tools that he got for his birthday, so we had all sorts of new things to try!

A few hours later, Mal woke up and Murphy still needed to be walked, so I suggested a family outing. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it was raining so hard. 

So, Quinn and I played in the garage while Mal took Murphy for a walk. I also drank a couple of espresso shots with cream over ice. 

I was so exhausted and really struggling to get my day going. I just wanted to go back to bed, so I asked Mal if he could take over kid duty while I took a short nap. I ended up taking an hour-long nap while Mal and Qman went to the dump. When they got back, I snacked on half of a Perfect Bar before heading to Trader Joe’s to go grocery shopping.

I was still struggling, energy-wise, while grocery shopping, so I grabbed a French vanilla cold brew from Trader Joe’s to drink on the way home. It was really good – not too sweet with only 7g of sugar. It made me feel much better, and I would definitely buy it again!

And I finally got my act together with meal planning! 

After that, we hit the road to Littleton to visit both of our families. I grabbed a La Croix for the road. 

Our first stop was at Papi’s house. 

He and his girlfriend prepared a big old spread for us – complete with wings, homemade fresh salsa, cheese, veggies, and fruit. 

We spent a few hours there and then headed to my Grammie’s house for more family time. We got to see my mom (Grandma) there, too!

My uncle made an amazing corn chowder using only veggies from his garden. It was so good!

I also had a couple of my Grammie’s ribs, which were awesome – the meat fell right off the bone!

And our evening concluded with a brownie sundae that Mal, Quinn, and I shared. Deeelicious!
