Ok, here we go! We haven’t gone on too many family vacations with just the three of us, so I took a TON of photos to document our experience. Plus, the nice people at Chatham Bars Inn (CBI) offer us a complimentary 2-night stay, so I wanted to make sure I gave you guys a full review of the property. With that, here’s part 1 of 3 (!!) of our family vacation to CBI! Spoiler: We had a BLAST!!
Since we were traveling with Q-Man and didn’t want to go to bed when he did at 7:30PM, Mal and I were especially happy that CBI placed us in one of their Deluxe Suites (“Lands End”), which included a separate bedroom and living room that made our stay so very comfortable. As you’ll see, we actually spent a good amount of time in our room because it was such a nice space with a ton of amenities and gorgeous views of the ocean. (Aww, man, just writing that makes me want to go back. We really loved our room!)
The couch in the living room had a queen sleeper inside, which would be perfect for kids (or parents).
The living room had a gas fireplace that we used both nights during our stay. It definitely made the room feel cozy. Quinn really liked turning it on too!
An in-room Nespresso machine? Yes, please! Obviously, we were really excited about this amenity. Freshly brewed espresso + ocean views first thing in the morning = nothing better.
CBI also provided a crib, so we didn’t need to lug our Pack ‘N’ Play for Q-Man.
The king bed was incredible. The linens were so soft and cozy, and the mattress felt like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. Oh, it was wonderful.
Quinn loved watching the nearby boats.
The tiny dark specks in the middle/left of the photo below are seals. How cool is that?!
The porch off the back of the suite was one of our favorite parts since it overlooked the ocean. The views were amazing!
The three of us actually spent a lot of time out there, relaxing and playing.
Once we got settled, we ate a quick snack and then headed out to explore the nearby beach. (Q-Man is really into apples lately. You’ll see this particular one in quite a few photos!)
The beach was a 60-second walk from our suite; the location couldn’t have been more perfect.
Quinn didn’t know what to make of walking in the sand. It was so weird! Haha!
He actually wasn’t a fan and wanted Mal to pick him up.
FYI: Mal’s watch is from Daniel Wellington and he’s obsessed with it.
These two are the cutest.
Quinn and I attempted to put our feet in the ocean, but it was freeeeezing cold!
We lasted maybe 10 seconds! Brrrr!
Then, it was back to our room to relax. Please note: Quinn’s second apple of the day.
After that, we came inside, played a little more, and ate a couple of snacks while relaxing on the couch.
Quinn’s face when Dada stole some of his rice crackers… so adorable! Haha!
We eventually got hungry for dinner, so we ordered room service. Quinn was pretty tired from a busy day, so we didn’t think he’d make it through dinner at a restaurant, so having it delivered was the perfect solution. #toddlerlife
And we were really impressed with the menu and quality of food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious!
After dinner, we watched a little TV and then Quinn got ready for bed.
Mal and I spent the rest of the evening hanging out in the living room, drinking wine, and probably having wayyyyyy to much fun face-swapping on Snapchat. We were crying we were laughing so hard! Good times.
More adventures to come!
