Life since Christmas? Cliffs notes: We didn’t stop moving! Holy cow. I’m exhausted.

12/26: The day after Christmas, we took down our tree and decorations… packed them up and put them in the attic until next year. Then, we cleaned the whole house. Holy pine needles!

12/27: We had friends over for wine and apps. We tested out our new Corkcicle Wine Chiller from my sister. It works great, so now we don’t have to leave the couch in order to refill our glasses anymore! Haha!

And then we went out to dinner at Scarlet Oak Tavern. We kept Quinn entertained with a Slinky and a balloon!

I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon on top. It was sooooo delicious!

12/28: It was pizza night at our house. Quinn helped make the pizza and, when it was finished cooking, he actually ate a few bites! Success! He also ate 4 (yes, 4!!) French fries at Scarlet Oak the night before!

12/29: Quinn went to daycare. (We pay for it if he goes or not.) I went to a doctor’s appointment. Mal did some house projects.

12/30: I ran 10 miles with Marisa.

It was our last run of 2015!

That afternoon, Mal and I took Quinn to get his hair cut. (Please note the adorable mini UGGS. Omg, I can’t get enough of them, especially with his skinny jeans. And I got them for 1/3 of the price from thredUP!)

That night, I met some friends for a girls’ night at Scarlet Oak.

We drank champagne and ate lots of delicious apps! The tuna tartar was excellent!

12/31: New Year’s Eve was low-key, but really fun. I made bacon-wrapped crackers as an appetizer.

Waiting for our friends to arrive… how adorable are these two?!

We ordered Chinese food for dinner and then spent the rest of the night watching football and laughing a whole lot.

Our friends didn’t leave until after the ball dropped, so Murphy was more than ready for bed.

1/1: I met Kerrie for a workout at KFIT. After Chinese food and wine, it almost killed me, but I’m glad I started the new year with a workout!

Later that afternoon, we went to a New Year’s Day party, which was such a great idea. All of our friends have babies/kids now, so it was nice to get together during the day and celebrate the new year. I also loved our friends’ hot chocolate bar. It was such a cute idea!

And delicious!!

And our friends gave us a Gratitude Jar to remember the little things we are thankful for throughout the year. On New Year’s Eve later this year, we plan to take them out and read them all. What an awesome gift, right?

1/2: Mal and I did a killer workout at Salt Shack CrossFit and then hung out for a little while afterward. Quinn really loved helping the guys rack the weights. Too cute!

That afternoon, we went to our friends’ daughter’s first birthday party. They hired a magician and Quinn got to pet the white rabbit at the end.

I spent the evening working and then climbed into bed with Murphy. I tried to read a magazine, but I was too tired.

1/3: Mal let me sleep in and then he headed to Starbucks to catch up with some grading. Quinn and I went to Trader Joe’s to stock up on some healthy eats for the week. On the menu: Pumpkin Crockpot Steel-Cut Oatmeal, breakfast potatoes, 5-Minute Veggie Stir Fry, Sweet Potato & Black Bean Salad, and Maple-Mustard Tuna Steaks.
