This post is sponsored by Boxed. Even so, I think this post might surprise you (Boxed really surprised me), so please read on!
I am so excited to tell you guys about Boxed! Are you ready?!?
As you know, I’m all about saving money. And, as a new mom, I’m all about convenience when it comes to shopping. With a little guy, the days of store-hopping, trying to find exactly what I need, are long gone, especially when it comes to bulk items. It’s actually pretty tough to navigate super-size boxes and bags while pushing a stroller or carrying a car seat + a diaper bag + a purse. (Moms, you know exactly what I am talking about, right?) So, to make life easier, I often go online to do my shopping instead of bringing my 6-month old to the store and then carrying all of the heavy, bulky items home. Having these big items delivered right to my front door saves me so much time (and gas), and it is my new favorite way to shop”” thanks to Boxed!
Boxed sells nonperishable bulk-sized goods (aka wholesale club shopping but without any membership fees) from your computer or smart phone. Basically, Boxed does all of the heavy lifting, delivering your favorite items, in bulk, direct to your door in two days or less. Yes, it is pretty amazing.
How to works: You place your order online or you can use the Boxed app, which is available on iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets. There is complimentary shipping on your first order as well as free shipping on all other orders over $75, which, when you’re shopping in bulk, isn’t tough to reach. (Boxed also offers a rewards program where for every $1 you spend on merchandise, you receive 1 Boxed Rewards point and during promotions, even MORE points!) Two days later (in my case, THE VERY NEXT DAY), you receive your goodies at your front door. Easy as that! (I still can’t get over how quickly my order arrived. It wasn’t even 24 hours! It was faster than Amazon Prime 2-day shipping!)
Ok, this is where it gets good and what ultimately sold me on Boxed.
Before I agreed to write this post, I did a little cost comparision on many of the products that I buy in-store and online, specifically at Target and Amazon. And, well, I was REALLY surprised with the results. Boxed was cheaper every time!
Here’s what I purchased in my first Boxed order:
And here’s a price comparison:
* Target doesn’t sell the same Huggies Natural Care Plus Wipes that I bought from Boxed, so I used the price for the regular Huggies Natural Care Wipes, which was $10.99 for 504 wipes. The price per wipe was $0.021 (Target) versus $0.029 (Boxed), which, in my opinion, is negligible. I mean, we’re talking thousandths of a dollar! Even still, Target’s price was cheaper, but you’re getting a better product from Boxed with the Plus wipes that have aloe and Vitamin E and all of that good stuff. Plus, you can order everything you need in one big shipment from Boxed and get it delivered to your home in a day or two, which is much faster than Target. (Yes, I am a total dork for going into such detail about the price per wipe… which will eventually clean my baby’s butt.)
A quick note about the diapers: Once again, Target didn’t sell the exact same diapers as Boxed, so I used the price for the regular Huggies Snug & Dry (size 3, 222 count). Even still, they cost more more than the Huggies Snug & Dry Plus+ at Boxed.

Are you as surprised as I am? Target and Amazon are my go-to websites for online shopping, and I still can’t believe Boxed was cheaper in almost every instance. Crazy. And, of course, I will be ordering my bulk goods from Boxed in the future. The prices, coupled with free shipping, no membership fees, and the convenience, are just too good not to shop there!
Question of the Day
Where do you buy your bulk products?
