Hi, guys!

With a massive baby bump on the front of my body, day-to-day activities are definitely getting more and more challenging. Getting out of the car, tying my sneakers, shaving my legs”¦ they’re all a bit of an adventure! Haha!

But, I’m still doing unassisted pull-ups at CrossFit, so things could definitely be worse!

Honestly, I’m just happy I’m still exercising on a regular basis. I really think it’s helped keep a lot of the usual pregnancy aches and pains at bay. *knock on wood* I still have 6+ weeks to go!

Workout

Speaking of pull-ups, I did more than 50 in yesterday’s class! The WOD was “Cindy” (AMRAP 20: 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups, 15 air squats), so I was all about doing as many as possible to stick with my unassisted pull-up pregnancy goal. The pull-ups definitely slowed me down and my Cindy score was by far the lowest in the class, but, hey, I did a bunch of pull-ups! Yay!

Lunch

As I mentioned in my previous post, I haven’t been feeling very well (morning sickness/nausea), so my appetite hasn’t been its usual self lately, so, for lunch, I ended up eating a toasted bagel with Chive & Onion cream cheese spread from The Laughing Cow.

And a little while later, I threw together a smoothie (for the nutrients) with banana, frozen chopped kale, frozen pineapple, protein powder, almond milk, and chia seeds.

After lunch, I ran a bunch of errands, which included some shopping for Baby Haupert. I bought him the ERGO baby carrier with infant insert (I’ve heard GREAT things about it), a Diaper Genie SmartCaddy, and a baby bather, which the folks from the baby education class raved about because it can easily fit inside a sink or tub and then can be folded up and stored away. I guess babies also poop quite often when you bath them (oh, we learned so much at the baby class), so if that happens, you can just drain the sink or tub instead of dealing with poopy bath water in a regular baby tub. (Side note: Mal was PUMPED about the diaper caddy! He’s super into organization, so he gave it a fist pump when he saw it in the nursery yesterday. Haha!)

I also did a little clothing shopping for Baby H. since he only had two newborn onesies. I bought him a few more, so he’s not naked his first couple of weeks of life.

I also bought these shorts because I could not leave them behind! (Mal was pumped about these too! I love how excited he’s getting for his son to arrive.)

Snack

Before I left the mall, I popped into Crumbs Bake Shop to pick up a couple of cupcakes for Mal and me””vanilla with vanilla frosting and sprinkles for me and a peanut butter cup for him. Obviously, I always have an appetite for a cupcake. Duh.

When I got home, Murphy seemed a little annoyed that I didn’t buy a cupcake for him too. Look at that face! So bummed.

Dinner

Dinner ended up being a random mix of foods. My appetite is out of whack and my stomach is usually a little queasy, especially in the evening, so I’m basically just eating whatever sounds good at the time.

The plan for dinner was grilled chicken with roasted Brussels sprouts and brown rice. Chicken did not sound appealing to me at all, so I ate some rice and Brussels sprouts with pecans and Creamy Swiss from The Laughing Cow. Of course, cheese always sounds appetizing to me!

After that, I ended up eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a million dried apricots and almonds, and a bunch of Easter candy. It wasn’t the healthiest dinner or day of eating, but, hopefully, today will be better.
