We’re moving right along! I can’t believe how quickly the past 3 weeks flew by! This baby is going to be here in no time! Well, in like 3 months”¦ haha!

CRAVINGS

None really. I’m still really digging fresh fruit, but, other that that, no specific cravings. Do cookie dough Oreos count?

AVERSIONS

Pretty much the same as before, but no new ones.

OTHER SYMPTOMS

Frequent urination: Same as before. I’m still a peeing machine, but I’m getting used to it now.

Morning sickness: I’m still sick at night. There were a few days that it mostly went away, but it’s back again. I guess I’m just one of those “lucky” women who have morning sickness for their entire pregnancy.

Restless sleep: I’m still waking up every night between 3:00 – 4:00 AM and tossing and turning for awhile, but, overall, I feel like I am sleeping better. The Snoogle definitely takes credit!

Crazy emotions: I had my first pregnancy/hormone-related cry-fest last week. I was taking a shower after CrossFit, letting my mind wander, thinking about Baby H., the registry, and other baby-related things, and, all of a sudden, I felt totally overwhelmed by it all and just lost it and broke down in tears. Thankfully, Mal was home and made me feel better, but, whoa, it came out of nowhere.

Weight gain: At my doctor’s appointment last week, I was up 28 pounds (only 2 more than my 22-week appointment), so my weight gain has definitely slowed down, but I am still ahead of the game. (My doctor actually said she was happy with my weight!)

WORKOUTS

I’m still trucking along with my CrossFit workouts! Here are my weekly workout recaps from the past three weeks: 24 weeks, 25 weeks, and 26 weeks. I’m still feeling pretty good and haven’t had to make any major exercise modifications””although, I might start using dumbbells instead of the bar soon. I’m still doing cleans and snatches, but the bar gets pretty close to my belly. Thankfully, we haven’t done any heavy-heavy stuff lately (in preparation for the Open), so it hasn’t been much of an issue since I can maneuver the lighter weight, but, of course, my form is probably suffering a little. I’m a little hesitant to make the switch because I know once I ditch the bar, I won’t go back to it for many, many months, but I know it will need to happen sooner than later.

ADDITIONAL UPDATES

Mal and I went on our babymoon! We went to Savannah for 4 days, and we had such a nice time. Full recap here!

I had my second trimester glucose test. The test wasn’t all that bad, and I passed with flying colors!

We’re making progress in the nursery! Mal actually finished painting last week, and we’re starting to look at furniture and other furnishings this coming weekend. It’s so exciting! (FYI: Nursery post coming soon!)

We started our baby registry and, holy cow, my brain hurts. For such a tiny person, Baby Haupert needs a lot of stuff””or at least it seems that way.

We have a small house, so I am really trying to be selective with what we register for, but it hasn’t been all that easy. Truthfully, I don’t really know what a baby needs and there’s so much out there to choose from. I was definitely feeling overwhelmed at first, but I spent a lot of time online Googling, reading product reviews, and watching videos as well as calling my sister (a lot), texting Caitlin and Lindsey for their recommendations, consulting CrossFit friends who have kids, and stalking Elizabeth‘s and Jen‘s registries to see what they registered for, so I feel like I am in better shape now, but I had no idea a baby registry would be such a big project!

Question of the Day

For the moms and dads”¦

Regarding registry stuff, what’s one thing you’re glad you registered for? What’s one thing that wasn’t worth it/never got used?
