Gooooood morning!
Breakfast
Yesterday started bright and early with a delicious breakfast: a brown rice wrap with sliced banana, almond butter, and marmalade with a glass of green juice. Easy, nutritious, and delicious.
After breakfast, I did a little work and then took this funny creature for his morning walk:
That face. It gets me every time.
After that, I got ready for the day and then drove to my 26-week doctor’s appointment. When I arrived, I somehow scored an open meter spot in Brookline with 1.5 hours of time on it. Finding an empty meter spot in Brookline is definitely lucky, so finding one with time on it was like winning the lottery! Hey, it’s the little things in life, right?
Things at my doctor’s appointment went well. My doctor listened to Baby Haupert’s heartbeat (strong) and measured my stomach (large). And then I asked her a bunch of random questions””about painting the nursery, my abs separating, doing headstands”¦ I swear, I always have the craziest questions to ask her, but she’s really nice and never makes me feel dumb when I ask them. Plus, I always try to think she’s probably heard worse! Haha!
Lunch
When I got home, I was more than ready for lunch. Thankfully, we had a bunch of leftover in the refrigerator, so I just had to reheat them: Trader Joe’s Pizza Burger with homemade guacamole, sweet potato tots, and steamed spinach.
Snack
A little while later, I broke into the guacamole again. (I mixed some peas in for some added nutrients!) This time, I ate it with cucumber slices and tortilla chips.
Workout
A few hours later, I headed to CrossFit. We did the “Healthy Living Challenge Baseline” workout from January to see if we had improved. I ended up finishing 54 seconds slower that my first time, but I’m 9 pounds heavier now and still managed to do all the pull-ups, so I was happy.
“Healthy Living Challenge Baseline”
3 RFT:
500m row
15 Pull-ups
15 Thrusters (95, 65)
L3: (85, 55)
L2: (75, 45)
L1: (45, 35)
Dinner
After CrossFit, I ran a few quick errands and then headed home for dinner. I made a couple of homemade pizzas earlier that afternoon (recipe coming soon), so all we had to do was reheat them for dinner.
After dinner, I ate, not one, but two containers of Greek yogurt with chocolate sprinkles mixed in. The cool, creamy yogurt just tasted so good and, hey, Baby Haupert probably needed the extra protein and calcium, right?
I spent the rest of the evening watching TV and cuddling with Murphy on the couch. As you can see, things are working out great with his bed. #fail. Haha!
Questions of the Day
What’s your doctor like? Are you comfortable asking him/her “crazy” questions? What’s the most usual question you’ve ever asked your doctor?
