• Murphy Is Pug McScrooge {& Minted Giveaway}

    December 5, 2013

    Good morning!

    Check out this year’s Christmas tree!

    Yay! I love the holidays!

    Decorating our Christmas tree was a lot of fun. We listened to holiday music, drank eggnog, and ate a million red and green M&Ms.

    Seriously. A million.

    And, of course, we reminisced about ornaments. Here are some of our favorites from the evening (clockwise from top left):

    • Sparkly pineapple from the Dole plantation in Oahu, Hawaii.
    • Tiny snowman from last year’s 24 Days of Togetherness.
    • An ornament from The Rink at Rockefeller Center. Mal and I bought it after we got engaged there in December 2006.
    • “New Home” ornament from my mom. She bought one for my sister too and my sister bought the exact same one for my mom since all three of us purchased a new home in 2010.

    And Day 3 of 24 Days of Togetherness fit in quite nicely: Dress Murphy in holiday garb and snap a photo of him. It was actually quite entertaining trying to get our little scrooge to look at the camera. Remember Pug McScrooge last year?

    Apparently, he’s still not a fan of Christmas.

    We eventually sort of got it right, but Murphy still doesn’t look pleased. He’s such a Grinch.

    And he’s definitely not a fan of Christmas hats. Hates them.

    Speaking of holiday photos, I ordered our holiday cards from Minted this past weekend and they arrived yesterday!

    What do you think? I really love them, and I can’t wait to send them to friends and family. I love exchanging cards during the holidays, and it makes me so happy when I receive one in the mail.

    I would use the feature where you load your photo and see it on different designs. With a new baby, this would make ordering our holiday cards much easier and faster :)

    I love your card so cute, I can’t wait till we have a dog and can take fun family photos! I have been slacking on the whole christmas card front, but I love minted’s white noel card, the fun shape is what draws me to it.
