Another month whizzes by!
I still can’t believe summer is just about over. But, hey, it was definitely a fun one! Here are some highlights from August!
Day 2 was a busy one! Breakfast It started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. I ordered the fresh fruit plate with baked sweet potatoes and sausage on the side as well as a glass of freshly pressed green juice. Simple, delicious, nutritious.
Good morning! Back to regular posting (and pug photos)! Mal and I got home from Cabo on Tuesday evening, so we spent the majority of yesterday getting our lives in order—unpacking, doing (tons of stinky, sweaty) laundry, grocery shopping, and cuddling the heck out of this little guy: We missed him so much!
Last week, not one, but two readers accused me of making “really hard” workouts, which apparently pushed them out of their comfort zone more than they expected. Mwhahahaha. On Saturday, Mal and I joined Dave and Marie and their friends Tim and Angie for a day of fun and sun on Long Lake in southern Maine. We rented a pontoon boat! All packed up! Food, drinks, sunblock, towels, koozies… And fur children. Don’t they looked pumped?

Falmouth is still my favorite road race! I had such a blast yesterday! Around 8:30 yesterday morning, Jess and I arrived at the runner drop-off area to take a bus to the start of the race in Woods Hole.
I went to Target the other day and spent a boatload of money. You know how it goes: Go into Target for a few things. Leave with $100 worth of stuff. It happens every time. Blah. We all have bad days, right? Even the most positive people experience them from time-to-time, but how they deal with them is key to turning it around. Mal, for example, is one of the most optimistic and upbeat people I have ever met, which balances my naturally pessimistic outlook.
