    Good morning!

My day started bright and early this morning with a phone call from my husband. He forgot about the time change for me and just wanted to say “good morning,” so my phone was ringing at 5:45 AM. Well, hello, Mal. We chatting for a little while—he recapped his morning and told me about Murphy’s pug antics—so by the time I got off the phone with him, I was wide awake and ready to start the day.

    Breakfast

The hotel where I’m staying has a cute little café in the lobby, so I went there for coffee and food. After the big meal that I ate last night, I was surprised how hungry I was this morning.

Check out the fancy Starbucks gate!

The café had a counter where you could place your order and take it to go as well as a sit-down restaurant where you could enjoy a meal. The menu had the usual breakfast options—coffee, espresso, bagels, pastries, yogurt and fruit, oatmeal, quiche, and sandwiches.

I ordered a decaf iced soy latte.

And an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a toasted English muffin. Both were delicious and hit the spot!

    One Last Thing

On the last page of the People magazine that I bought yesterday was a one-page Q & A with Jesse Spencer called “One Last Thing.” I liked the questions that were asked and thought they’d make a fun blog post, so here goes!

LAST SPLURGE: The purse I bought in Ireland. The handle on the purse that I originally brought on the trip broke and could not be repaired, which was super annoying (carrying around a one-handle purse is so awkward), so I bought a new one at a little shop in Killarney. It was pricey, but I loved it immediately and now I have a great souvenir from our trip!

LAST ROMANTIC GESTURE: Before leaving our house on Tuesday morning, I wrote “I <3 U” on the chalkboard in our kitchen for Mal to see. (I also hid the skull in the refrigerator at eye level to scare him. In our house scaring each other = love!)

LAST THING I COOKED: Easy Jambalaya! Mal said the leftovers tasted even better!

LAST HOME IMPROVEMENT: Planting new bushes and mulching the beds in our yard and along our driveway. It looks so good! I’ll show you guys pics soon!

Welcome to WI! Not sure how long you are here for. I live in Milw and goin on the brewery tours is always fun whether you like beer or not. The Milw Art Museum is known all over the world for the design of the building. Also the Harley Davidson Museum is a pretty popular attraction. And just walkin on the river walk is a fun thing to do in nice weather.
