    Happy March 1st, friends!

And just like that another month flies by. It was a whirlwind month for sure. With that said, here are my favorite posts from February!

ABCs of 2013 (What I’m Looking Forward to this Year)

    tiny HUGE party

Good morning and happy February! I can’t believe the first month of the year is already over. Since the new year is moving right along, I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the things I’m looking forward to in 2013 with the help of the alphabet.

How to Dine Out and Stick to Your Healthy Eating Habits

    I_love_CrossFit_

Good morning! Happy Saturday! Here’s my second post for GNC’s “Total Lean Challenge.” For this one, I was asked to share my favorite kind of cardio exercise, which, I’m sure you already know, is CrossFit. I’m a tad in love with it!

    CNC Turns Five

    National_Carrot_Cake_Day

Happy National Carrot Cake Day!!! National Carrot Cake Day is also the day that I published my very first post on Carrots ‘N’ Cake. Crazy coincidence, right? Every year since then, I’ve celebrated both of these special occasions on February 3rd.

    Boston Rock Gym

    094

Hi, friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was great. I tried rock climbing on Saturday! After posting about my goals for 2013, a reader, who does PR for the Boston Rock Gym in Woburn, hooked up Mal and me with a beginner’s rock climbing class. So cool!

    Garlic Mustard Drumsticks

YUM! Last night’s dinner was so EASY and DELICIOUS, it deserves its own post. It was as simple as brushing on a garlic and mustard mixture and putting the chicken in the oven, and it turned out so well!

Good morning! Happy Hump Day! [image source] Breakfast Yesterday’s breakfast kind of bombed, but it still tasted delicious. I made Plantain Pancakes with Maple Coconut Cream and Toasted Walnuts again, but I was impatient and turned up the heat too high on the stove, so my pancakes stuck to the pan and fell apart.

Gluten-Free Apple Crisp with Vanilla Coconut Cream

Good morning! Thank you so much for your Ireland suggestions! Holy moly, you guys are the best! So many great recommendations! Reading all of them made Mal and me even more excited for our trip. Thanks, again! Breakfast Yesterday morning’s breakfast was awesome! Really. It will probably sound a little weird, but trust me.

    Some of My Bad Habits

    cabinets open

Last night, when I tried to overload the dishwasher for the umpteeth time, Mal stopped me and jokingly said it was one of my worst habits. I know things don’t get properly cleaned if I overload it, but I can’t help myself and just always want to add one more thing.

My Blog Before Carrots ‘N’ Cake

    028

Good morning! Happy Friday! Last night, I joined a group of CrossFit ladies for dinner at The Fours in Quincy. When Mal and I lived in Q-town, we used to go there all the time, but I haven’t been back in years, so I was excited for a fun night out with my favorite CrossFit ladies.

No Bake Chocolate Fudge Cookies (Gluten-Free)

    No_Bake_Chocolate_Fudge_Cookies_thumb[2]

I’ve whipped up these cookies 3 times already since I first made the recipe this past weekend. They’re so good and so easy to make! These cookies are chocolaty and fudgy with some sweet and salty action going on. And, the best part, they require no baking. Love that.

    Mr. America

Hello, hello! The first part of yesterday afternoon was all about running errands. I received my sister’s baby shower invitations in the mail on Tuesday, so I addressed them and mailed them out yesterday afternoon. I also did a little shopping and bought a few things for our trip to Hawaii.
