Welcome to Frozen Food Week on CNC!!
I’m always looking for ways to save money at the grocery store, so I decided to challenge myself by using more frozen foods (which tend to be cheaper than the perishable stuff) in our meals this week. I purchased some bagged frozen vegetables and plan to use up some of the food we already have in our freezer. I still bought some non-frozen ingredients at the grocery store for a few of our meals, but, hopefully, the frigid fare will give you some quick and easy ideas for your own dinners. (I’ve bolded the frozen ingredients for each of the meals below.)
Here’s this week’s meal plan:
- Sunday: Shepherd’s Pie (ground beef, peas, potatoes)
- Monday: Pork Cutlets with pesto artichokes & spinach
- Tuesday: Sesame Beef with broccoli, cauliflower & carrots
- Wednesday: Chicken Stir Fry (veggies)
- Thursday: Steak with maple-glazed Brussels sprouts
- Friday: Wing it
- Saturday: Cousins’ dinner
