Another month flies by! I swear November was the quickest month yet. Maybe I just really wanted December and the holiday season to be here? Anyway, here are my favorite posts from the month!
Butternut White Chocolate Chip Bars
I cooked a big ol’ butternut squash on Sunday afternoon, so I’ve been sneaking it into meals all week long to use it up. I still have quite a bit left, so I decided to do some baking with it. The end result was quite a tasty treat!
I did it! I did my first “Girl” workout as prescribed! Woohoo! I finished “Helen,” but, man, it wasn’t pretty. My time wasn’t super fast, but I’m still proud of myself for Rx-ing a benchmark workout. I first did “Helen” back in February and finished in 12:12, but I used bands for the pull-ups.
Good morning! Happy Friday!! So, is it too early to start thinking about my race calendar for next year? Maybe? Well, I’m a planner, and I just can’t help myself sometimes, so I’m already setting the wheels in motion.
My Non-Plan for the Next 4 Years
Good morning! Happy Hump Day! The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was check who won the election. It was close last night when I went to bed. I’m glad to see we have four more years with President Obama!
Thanks so much for all of your grocery shopping questions! I responded to them in this post, and I hope you find my answers helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m a dork and love meal planning/saving money at the grocery store.
Carrots ”˜N’ Cake has had quite a few different looks over the years! February 2008 September 2008 August 2010 September 2011 And now CNC has a new look! Did you see it? The current layout isn’t all that different, but I think it’s a little easier on the eyes.
Meredith Test Kitchen & The Ultimate Potato Recipe Contest
I hope you guys are enjoying my posts about my trip to judge The Ultimate Potato Recipe Contest with Better Homes & Gardens in partnership with the U.S. Potato Board. It was such a cool experience!
Reebok Blogger Event: CrossFit WOD
Well, hello! Long time, no talk. I had quite the whirlwind weekend, which was packed full of fitness, fun, and friends, so I didn’t have a chance to blog. Sorry about that. Let’s rewind to Friday morning!
Ok, where did we leave off? Biking adventures, right? After our biking tour of Mystic, we headed back to Mohegan Sun for an afternoon at Elemis Spa. Each of us were provided with a spa service to review, so I chose a deep tissue massage.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with the almond flour/meal lately. Here’s another delicious recipe for you! Ingredients: 1/2 cup almond flour/meal 1 tbsp liquid egg whites 1 tsp ground flaxseed meal 1/2 tsp olive oil 1 tsp garlic powder pinch of salt Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl; blend well.
Good morning! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty low-key, but really nice. Mal and I were lazy bums and ended up watching the entire first season of American Horror Story. (Thanks to all of you who suggested it!)
Good morning! I have a fun holiday project to share with you guys. I was inspired to make it after almost buying a neat advent calendar from Starbucks a couple of weeks ago. Each day of the calendar was filled with chocolate or another fun surprise, so it was a lot more festive than the cheap-y ones I usually buy.
