    Good morning!

One of my goals for September was to buy a new book, so, on Sunday, I visited Barnes & Noble and purchased Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson (aka The Bloggess). You remember Beyoncé, the metal chicken, right? Same author. And she’s hilarious. I’ve only read the first two chapters, but I absolutely love it so far. I’ve already laughed out loud a bunch of times! That’s when you know it’s a good book!

So, I’m a day behind with posting my eats. I was just going to skip over Monday all together, but, instead, I’m going to blog them a day behind and see how it works. Just a quick FYI!

    Breakfast

Yesterday’s breakfast was “Oatmeal” Minus the Oats, but with canned coconut milk instead of almond milk  in the mix, which makes it sooooo creamy and gives it some serious staying-power. I also added a splash of canned coconut milk to my Dandy Blend. Canned coconut milk = obsessed.

    Question of the Day

What’s the funniest book you’ve ever read?

On my list: Bossypants by Tina Fey and I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max.

P.S. Local readers: If you haven’t had a chance yet, there’s still time for you to enter to win two tickets to Mohegan’s Sun Brewfest! I’ll pick a winner tomorrow morning.

I don’t read a lot of novels but I did enjoy “I’m a Runner Therefore, I’m nuts” and “The Non-Runner’s Marathon Guide for Women”. Both were hilarious. The first was short stories of running related stuff. The second was the journey a woman took to run her first marathon. I think you would like both!

My carpool buddy and I took turns reading “I hope they serve beer in hell” and some of the stories are sooo funny that we couldnt get through them without crying from laughing so hard. On the flip side, Tucker Max is such a jerk that I wanted to poke him in the eyes…:)
