Yay! I love my new haircut! It looks a zillion times better—healthier and shiner with a nice, rich color. I feel like a new woman!

My hairdresser only cut off about an inch, but it made such a difference. My ends look so much healthier!
Lunch was a random mix of goodies: scrambled eggs with spinach and bacon in a whole wheat wrap, sweet potato wedges, and a couple of Frosted Date-Nut Cookies. (Only one cookie is pictured, but I went back for a second one. They’re so good!)
A few hours later, I made myself a protein smoothie with banana, coconut milk, and a new protein powder that a friend of a friend sent Mal and me to try out. (FYI: Mal loves this stuff, and he has been drinking it almost everyday since we received it.) The “Fortified” variety that I tried this afternoon is a whey protein derived from grass fed, free-range cows.
The chocolate was really tasty and blended well with the other flavors in my smoothie, and it didn’t have a weird, chalky taste or anything like that. Sweet and smooth. The chocolate was also a nice change from my usual vanilla protein powder.
Off to walk the pug and then CrossFit! Wish me luck on 12.3!
