Even hours after opening this package from New Balance, I’m still smiling from ear-to-ear. It was such a nice surprise and it instantly lifted my spirits with regard to my health. I know this whole colitis thing will pass, and I’ll be up running again soon. Now, I really can’t wait to get out there and get my run on! THANK YOU, New Balance!

This morning’s breakfast was the same as yesterday’s, but with a carton of coconut water added to the mix. I think I may have drank the coconut water a little too quickly because it definitely didn’t agree with me. Or maybe it was just the food and my intestines are a big bitch? I dunno. Last night, I drank a coconut water a lot more slowly and didn’t have any issues. I also notice that my symptoms are much worse overall in the morning.
Lunch was a toasted gluten-free bagel with sunflower butter and sweet potato wedges on the side. This meal made my stomach happy.
Right now, sweet potatoes are my go-to food. I keep cooking big batches of sweet potato wedges to snack on throughout the day, and they don’t really give me any issues. Huge win with sweet potatoes! One day at a time, right?
