BOSU Ballast Ball Giveaway

January 27, 2012

Don’t you hate it when your stability ball rolls around and wanders away from you while you’re trying to workout? Well, the BOSU Ballast Ball PRO stays put! It’s a weighted stability ball, so it won’t roll away and it’s more versatile than a traditional stability ball because you can use it as a total-body training tool.

Constructed of high-quality, burst-resistant material, it has a six-sided design for proper alignment and positioning. With the BOSU Ballast Ball, individuals can perform exercise progressions and dynamic drills that aren’t possible on a regular stability ball. The product is translucent light blue with white multi-dimensional material, and includes a foot pump and workout DVD. Product can be inflated between 55cm and 65 cm, 6.5 lbs.

Oh man, I’ve tried a bunch of ab stuff on them and it’s awesome. What is it called when you do a plank with your tip toes on the ball and your arms are on the ground and you bring your knees to your chest? But holy cow I just googled “ball exercise bend knees” and a ton of stuff showed up. I want to try those things. Well, not exactly right now, but definitely someday when it’s not Saturday night and I’m not on my second glass of wine :)

I love to do ABS with my ball. My favorite move is like your picture, where you pass the ball from your hands to your feet. Love this!

I’m fairly new to working out so I’m not sure what my favorite BOSU workout move is yet. I’m anxious to figure it out though!

I love doing anything that involves working my core! And though they can be so hard, I always feel accomplished when I finish a good set of tricep push-ups on the stability/BOSU ball!

I love to flip the Bosu over and do burpees. I raise it over my head then put it bouncy side down (official term) and shoot my legs out. It makes burpees a great stability excercise.

I’m in the market to buy a stability ball but since I don’t have any experience using one it has been pushed to the bottom of my list! I can’t wait to include a stability ball into my exercise routines.

This is a must for my small apartment. It seems like my stability ball rolls around constantly and basically takes over my tiny home. Need this!

My favorite exercise to do with a stability ball is an ab exercise. You lay down on a mat and hold the ball up in the air (above your stomach) with your toes and fingertips. You alternate legs/arms (left leg, right arm) bringing your arm & leg down at the same time & then switch. Your core is always engaged and one arm/leg is always holding up the stability ball. Give it a try :)

Weighted lunges and squats all the way! I miss the BOSU! We have a small gym at our apartment complex, but the BOSU is not available :-(
