Last week, I was invited to a special styling event to introduce the Eddie Bauer Holiday 2011 collection. The event took place at the new Eddie Bauer store at the Southshore Plaza.
I have to admit when I first received the invitation to this event, I didn’t think I wanted to attend. I mean, Eddie Bauer? Don’t they make mom jeans and flannel shirts? Even still, I clicked on the lookbook link in the invitation to see what the holiday line was all about. I was pleasantly surprised to see all sorts of stylish clothes that I would totally wear. Maybe Eddie Bauer wasn’t what it used to be? And we all know that I need help dressing myself since I’m the worse when it comes to fashion, so I decided to attend the event.
When I arrived, I was greeted by the Eddie Bauer team and offered some delicious holiday-inspired goodies (cookies, hot cocoa, etc.) to enjoy.
Obviously, I needed to snap a photo! Derp.
A professional photographer was at the event to capture our experience shopping and styling looks from the collection on ourselves. Thankfully, one of the sale associates helped me pick out a few things.
I ended up trying on a Flannel Cargo Shirt with a Cloud Long Cardigan and a pair of black Essential Slim Jeans, which I thought I would hate (don’t black jeans just scream 1991?), but I actually loved them and even bought a pair with the help of a gift card that the Eddie Bauer folks gave us for attending the event.
I really liked the flannel and sweater combo. I hope they go on sale soon!
I’ll definitely check out Eddie Bauer in the future. They’re clothing is really top quality. For instance, the jeans that I bought are made of thick demin that hugs you in all of the right places. I wore them with tall boots over the weekend, and I’m a big fan.
Thanks for the invite, Eddie Bauer! Love the holiday line!
