So gorgeous!
Newport is so beautiful, I need to plan a run next time I’m there. I usually stay for a night near Christmas and it gets SO cold, fall is the perfect time. I saw your call for restaurants on Twitter earlier, have you ever checked out the Brick Alley Pub? It gets nuts in there, but it’s a pretty cool place to grab stuff like sandwiches and their nachos are pretty impressive. I think they have a pretty good bar as well. Have a blast!
@lauren: Oh, yes, I remember those nachos! So cheesy!!
Haha I can’t wait until the day that 6 miles is an easy run for me! Right now my furthest distances is 6 – training for a 10 miler! And that scenery is beautiful!
Newport is so pretty. What a great weekend weather-wise you guys have for your little mini-vacation. Enjoy it!

I love it when I get the chance to run in new places!
If anything would make me want to visit Rhode Island, it’d be the photos you took! Lovely!
Wow….what a beautiful part of the world. Enjoy!
What beautiful pictures! I love the fall scenery!!!
Gorgeous!
Love the scenery. Unfortunately, it is getting colder here in London and while out today, I saw a squirrel. It was way too quick for me to take a photo of it, however not quick enough to get away before I yelled SQUIRRELLLLL (from National Lampoon!) hehe
oh m goodness newport. what a fabulous place to be. i used to look at Salve Regina all the time when I was researching colleges…and then realized how cold and damp the winters would be…as much as i love winter…winter on the water is not my idea of a fun way to walk to class.
I love Newport! I’m running the Amica Half Marathon next Sunday through that beautiful scenery – I can’t wait!
GORGEOUS! Added to my list of New England Fall Road Trip hotspots…
Wow gorgeous scenery indeed. The Northeast is amazingly beautiful in the Fall, love the crisp cooler air too!!
