Breaking Bad

October 25, 2011

Good morning! It’s a hot-mug-of-coffee morning here!

Well, technically, it was my only option for coffee. Mal finished off the last of the iced coffee this morning, so it was hot coffee or nothin’ for me. I actually like switching it up between iced and hot coffee once the weather gets cold, so I really don’t miss my iced coffee all that much.

Breakfast also included an egg white sandwich with sliced deli ham and melted pepper jack cheese and some grapes on the side. I usually wake up craving oatmeal and nut butter for breakfast, but eggs were all I could think about this morning.

Dinner

Dinner was recycled from a meal last week. There was quite a bit of leftover turkey meatloaf in our refrigerator, which I really didn’t want to go to waste, so I chopped it up and added some jarred marinara to make a meat sauce.

IMG_0003 (800x600)

I added the meat sauce to a huge portion of spaghetti squash with grated Parmesan sprinkled on top. (Here’s how I make my spaghetti squash.)

After dinner, my night included a few bites of cookie dough.

Some serious pug cuddling.

And a ridiculous amount of Breaking Bad.

I think Mal and I watched four or five episodes in a row. I cannot get enough of this show. The acting is amazing, the plot lines are incredibly complex, and the relationships are intense and very emotional. It’s one of those shows that you keep thinking about long after you’ve stopped watching it. I’m pretty sure I even dreamed about it a few nights ago.

Oh my, I am hooked on so many shoes. My DVR Is constantly full and I go through random weeks with no TV and then a day full of it! I love love love Grey’s Anatomy and always will but I am also hooked on the CW right now and their shoes like Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle, and Gossip Girl. I like mindless TV it you can’t tell :)

Dexter!!! I am usually not drawn to ‘dark’ storylines, but this is the first show in my life I am completely addicted to.

@Marie@feedingfive: I love Dexter!

Same here! It was so addictive!

Darn, I literally JUST bought those Bic Bands off of Opensky last week! Bah…

For me, Lost and Alias just HOOKED me immediately! I couldn’t stop watching…now I’ve started watching Felicity for the first time and that’s having the same effect!

Mmm…cookie dough and tv sounds like a great night to me, but I don’t think I could trust myself around that tub! I’m definitely pretty into the Amazing Race. I too am typically a sweeter breakfast person, but egg sandwiches are just so filling, and nice for a change from time to time!

I am currently having a marathon between old episodes of Desperate Housewives and Felicity on Netflix. I love Netflix and being able to watch shows that I haven’t seen in a long time! Although quite the time sucker…

Love Breaking Bad too! My husband and I have been busy catching up on all the seasons and now are on to Season 3 on Netflix.

I have been and am hooked on so many shows! I look forward to my weekly shows :) I love hot coffee better than iced I think but I like iced sometimes too. It’s a rarity for me to crave eggs in the morning too but I love when I do.

I haven’t seen Breaking Bad yet! I don’t really watch a whole lot of TV, except for re-runs of How I Met Your Mother, Will & Grace and Big Bang Theory. I rarely have time for TV. I did watch the first three seasons of Dexter and I loved it! I have to get back into that.

Heather October 25, 2011 at 11:50 am

When LOST was about to air it’s final season my husband and I watch the previous 5 in a week. It was ridiculous and we promised not to do that again, but it was just so awesome.

My husband and I are completely addicted to Breaking Bad as well. We just finished up the most recent season and we can’t wait until next year to find out what happens next! Also, I just finished your book- I LOVED it. (I actually posted about it yesterday on my blog.) I’m going to make your pumpkin cookies for my treat this week. :)

Right now I’m hooked on Big Bang Theory. I’m so spoiled though; I refuse to watch it while the season is on. I’ll wait for the DVDs. I might break that rule to watch the episode this current season with Sheldon’s mom – she’s so fun.

I started watching Breaking Bad from the beginning and was a raving maniac telling everyone how good it was! People were like “nah, it’s not for me” or they didn’t like the subject matter. I tried to explain it’s not REALLY about drugs. WATCH IT! :)

I got totally hooked on “Brothers & Sisters” this past Spring when I was fighting a sinus infection. I watched the first 4 seasons in like 2 weeks and then caught up with the fifth season which ended up being its last. I also recently knocked out the first 4 seasons of “Weeds” pretty fast. I want to watch Breaking Bad and Dexter, heard both are good :)

I totally get hooked on shows, but not until they’ve been on a while so I have to catch up with the DVD versions. Some of them have been The Sopranos, The Office, 30 Rock, Weeds, and a few others I can’t remember.
It’s great to watch as many as you want in a row!

My husband and I joke we are couch potatoes because we love so many shows. But, our dvr is always full, so I guess we aren’t very good at it. We’ve been watching Dexter, The Middle, Modern Family, Up All Night and we’re trying to catch up on last season’s Grey’s Anatomy.

My boyfriend and I are currently watching Lost. We didn’t watch it when it was actually aired, but we’ve been getting the discs from Blockbuster and have been FLYING through them – it’s so addictive! We’re finally on the last season.

Reply

Jaime October 25, 2011 at 6:15 pm

Oh man, I have had so many TV show addictions…especially since HBO/Showtime/AMC have really been rocking it. Probably started with Sex and the City but then I moved on to things like Deadwood, Six Feet Under, and Entourage. Now there is Dexter, True Blood, Nurse Jackie and most recently The Walking Dead and of course Breaking Bad.

I tried BB on my own once and didn’t like it after one episode, but a couple of weeks ago my BF convinced me to try again and now we’ve plowed through the first two seasons in about 6 nights!! He gets agitated having to wait until the weekend for me to come over and watch. LOL.

Breaking Bad is amazing. It’s also hilarious at times, and it definitively DOES get better as the seasons go on.

Other favourites of mine: LOST, and Battlestar Galactica. I know many girls who hear “star” in the title of something and are immediately turned off, but it is an amazing show and definitively worth a try.
