Can we talk about this graph?!?! Holy crap!
I ran 125 miles in July!!! That’s more than a quarter of the total miles I’ve run this year (401 miles) in a single month.
While this is totally insane, I am incredibly proud of myself. I never thought I could run that sort of mileage without getting injured. I mean, even just a few months ago, I wasn’t sure how feasible training for a second marathon would be, but so far, so good! Let’s hope for continued health!
Breakfast
I enjoyed a delicious breakfast this morning! I actually ate a couple of these Mini Tomato-Feta Frittatas for dinner last night, but I made some extras for breakfast this morning. I also drank an iced coffee with my breakfast.
Mini Tomato-Feta Frittatas
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsweetened soy milk
- 1/3 cup crumbled feta
- 1/3 cup premade bruschetta (I used Trader Joe’s brand)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400*F.
- Coat muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk well.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan.
- Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes until tops are puffed and lightly browned.
- Allow to cool before serving.

Awesome mileage!!! My brag: I’m back to healthy eats this week after a week off for vacation.
WOW Tina! That is some amazing mileage! For July, I’m proud of myself for tackling a lot of projects around the house I’d been putting off, and for doing some of the workouts that I wouldn’t normally do (like rollerblading, Bikram, and actually running outside rather than on a treadmill!)
Wow, that’s incredible how much you ran last month!! That’s DEFINITELY something to be proud of!
Wow congrats Tina, that’s awesome!
This morning I’m feeling great since the weekend was spent full of quality time with my hubby and family
Those fritters looks awesome! Hmm, bragging point this morning.. I guess that managed to unpack my suit case and get everything in order from being away for the weekend, all before coming to work!
Congrats, that’s awesome!! I’m trying to return slowly to running after an injury, so am trying to not get down about my low mileage. I’m proud that I’m pushing through though!
By the way–what program do you use to keep track of your runs/mileage? I want a cool graph!
@Elana: DailyMile.com!
I’m most proud of the fact that I have my very first giveaway up and running! Wordpress tried to detour me (why don’t the scheduled posts always post!?) but it’s in full swing now!
look at you!! 125 miles! you’re a rock star!!
First of all, WOW!!!!! That is AMAZING!!!!!
Definitely something to brag about!
I guess I’ll brag that I turned 42 yesterday, and I’m still in one piece, lol!
@Alyssa (The Other One): Wahoo! Happy birthday!
I feel like a total cheeseball but I’m so proud that my new puppy is sleeping through the night
@Tricia: Awww, cute!
those frittatas look delish! do you think I could use cow’s milk instead of soy milk? i already have Trader Joe’s bruschetta!
@Julie: Probably!
This is crazy! That’s totally worthy of bragging about. I’m so proud of/happy for you- running is a gift and all that
Nice job! That’s more than 1 marathon per week =]
That’s so awesome!!! This heat has been terrible this summer, I haven’t even gotten up to 50 the past three months! I did 100 in March and was so proud. 125 is amazing, esp. for a month like July. You rock and definitely deserve to brag! That’s dedication.
Brag away; that’s sooooooo awesome! Congrats!
WOW What a great month!
I am proud of my 5th 100+ mile month in a row! Even with a marathon in July I still managed to run over 100 miles!
Congrats on the mileage! My brag is that I ran the SF half marathon yesterday in under 2 hours without much training due to a nagging injury. Hooray!
I’m proud that thus far I’ve started marathon training and have lost weight vs gaining weight like last year. It’s all about being smart and accoutnabiltiy!
WOW!!! That’s fantastic!!
I had a goal of 100 miles in 30 days and I had no idea how hard it would be! I ran my first half marathon this month (slowly!) and went from about 30 miles a month to completing my goal of 100 miles in 30 days (july 1 – august 1)!!! yay for increasing mileage!
Great job with the mileage especially after everything you went through recently! Question: I know you said that you’re getting your training plan every week from a coach, but it seems like you’re running more mileage now then before? Have you liked the increase thus far? I’ve only done two halfs, but I was always hesitant about running too many days a week because of mileage increasing too fast etc, just wondering how it’s going for you (although seems good!)
@gabriella @ embracement: Yes, definitely! I’m a lot stronger this time around!
I started half-marathon training this morning, at 6 am. That’s quite a feat for me, trust me. Especially since it was 85 degrees at 6 am. OH TEXAS.
Nicely done. I am proud of the amazing build-your-own burger extravaganza I hosted last night. It was SUPER-fun (and tasty)!
Wow, that’s an impressive jump in mileage! I’m proud of myself that even without flat roads, a treadmill, or a gym membership, I’m still keeping up my running–on trails in Georgia summer heat!
Way to go this last month, Tina! What an accomplishment. Your total made me think a bit so I added up my training log minus the miles hiking (I sometimes count them but chose to only add the running miles this month) and found something similar: 124.48 miles! Made me proud to realize it! …maybe I should train for something with all the distance.
I’m proud of that number but more proud of how my runs have felt as I’ve been working on my form, my approach to running, and my whole experience with it – been having some amazing runs without fatigue and just pure joy! So grateful for movement.
I might be a total spaz and missing something, but what makes the frittatas “TOMATO”-feta? Are you using a flavored type of feta?
Holy moly that’s a lot of miles. Brag on, Tina! That’s a crazy, awesome accomplishment
My brag: I’m feeling really good about my body and what I’m putting in it after a year of being a little out of control due to job change and moving stress. It was like the freshman 15 all over again but luckily without the full 15. I’m back on track now and feeling much more in control.
I am proud that I ran 2 miles today in 24:14 pushing my three kids in a triple stroller (about 160 lbs)!!!!!!! I can’t even FATHOM 125 miles in a month….. good for you!
nice job!
I ran 110 in July, a monthly mileage PR for me!
That’s AWESOME! My brag for the day is that I just signed up for my first marathon. Hopefully my training will look like yours in a few weeks! Eek!!
WOW I think that’s more miles than I run in 4 months, let alone 1! Awesome job Tina.
Wow – that’s a lot of miles! My brag – I set a new deadlift PR in crossfit – 250 lbs for 2 reps!
I finished most of my To Do list ahead of schedule.
That is a rare occasion, I tell ya!
My brag moment is that I made it through the entire Bob Harper Strenght Training DVD. He’s insane, but sexy!
Just catching up on yesterdays posts… My brag

I love the idea of tracking monthly mileage on a graph! Looks like a fun, motivational way to keep track of progress!
Ack – just catching up on posts… My brag: I finished a 1/2 Ironman Aquabike this weekend! Even better: I rocked it!
Hey Tina i absolutely love your blog, lots of great tips and tricks. In January I decided to devote myself to healthy living and have made several adaptions along the way thanks to inspiration from everyday people such as yourself.
My brag moment is that I have completed 30 days eating only fruits, veggies, meat, and healthy dats (avocado, coconut, olive oil). So no added sugar and no perservative chemicals HOORAY! It was a Whole30 challenge.
Now I can start to incorporate other food groups back into my diet and see how my body reacts, these yummy frittatas are going to be one of the first dishes I make
