Boating + beach + barbeque = summer awesomeness!
Yesterday, good times were had by all. The day was filled with boating and beaching with friends, followed by a barbeque that went late into the evening.
At the beach, we played games.
Ate.
And drank.
Say ‘hi’ to Anne! She’s visiting from North Carolina for the next couple of days.
Before I knew it, it was time to pack up the boat and head home.
Back at our friends’ house, we showered and relaxed outside with some cocktails and snacks.
Dinner was a spread of burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and pasta salad.
After dinner, I somehow ended up on the Beirut table and won a couple of games. (Obviously, the day drinking + keg beer will make me feel great on my run later this morning.)
It was so nice to hang out and spend time with friends. I love summer!

Gah, that picture of your pug is priceless!
Tina! Looks like a wonderful day. Yard games are the epitome of summer.
love the pictures – I miss New England! Also I made your skinny pina coladas for my girlfriends on Friday, they were FANTASTIC!
What a fun day! As always Murphy is adorable!
Looks like you had a great day – LOVE days on the boat with friends – there’s nothing better! (cute fish dish btw) My husband & I are completely hooked on those Skinny Pina Coladas! xoxo from Trinidad
Oh, I wish my dog would stay still on my lap like that!
Beach and friends are always the best combo! I really like your bikini, its a really cute colour
Ahh I love everything about this post… such an ideal summer day
So glad you are having a wonderful time Tina! And yay for ruit, it has to happen sometimes hehe
Now that looks like an absolutely perfect summer day.
Did you go to the Cape or the Islands?
This seriously looks like the best day ever!! Any day spent at the beach is a good day!
What an awesome summer day! Between the wedding, boating, and friends, it seems like you had a pretty perfect weekend! Have a great sunday!
Wow a wedding+the beach?? sounds like a great weekend!
Looks fun. Is that blue dress/cover-up from Target? If so, I have it in three colors. I can’t quite figure out if it’s a dress or a cover-up. I’ve worn it as both.
@Lee: I think it’s from Marshalls or TJMaxx, but I wear it as a cover-up. The top is pretty risque at times, so I feel like I need a bathing suit under it!
I love summer too! This sounds like the perfect summer day!
Looks like fun! I am incredibly jealous -as I stare that the beach in the pouring rain! Hopefully the rest of the week looks a little better!
I love playing cornhole!
Love this post!!
Full of summer time fun, good friends, good times, and cute bikinis
So fun! I’m going to Falmouth on Wednesday and your post just got me so excited!! Where were you guys?
Looks like a blast! I love summer too! So much fun!
Summer in NE is the best! My hubby and I were just talking about how we miss the bathing suits by day and hoodies by night temps in MA. That photo of the street outside your friends place looked like York, ME…you weren’t in ME, were you? That’s another great spot on the summertime! Thanks for sharing
Boating is such a relaxing summer activity. Growing up on the ocean, I miss it so much nowadays where I live more inland. Your such a fun blogger haha!
Looks like you had a great time!
Hey Tina, where did you get your swimsuit? I have the hardest time finding one that fits up top with good coverage.
@Caroline: It’s from J.Crew. I bought it back in 2004, but maybe they still have a similar style available?
What a fun day! I wish the Irish weather was better
Looks like Murphy had a blast too!
What a perfect Summer’s Day!!!
I <3 boating and barbeques (and friends!)
Boats are so ridiculously expensive (especially when it comes to maintenance) so all you need is a friend with a boat to enjoy summer and it looks like you have that covered
What a great day! Glad you had a nice time….beirut, cracks me up…brought me right back to my college days!!! Too funny!
Such fun! Been a while since my Beirut days, but it’s looking pretty fun actually!
Oh yes, beach time is the best! Looks like you all had a great time!
Murphy is so darn adorable… Love him!
That looks like the perfect summer day
Looks like a perfect Saturday. Love that Murphy could go too. (his sandy little face in the picture of him with whatever he has in his mouth is hilarious!) Have a good Sunday Tina.
Looks like such an awesome summer day! Good luck on your run today!
Aw, this looks like such a perfect summer day/night! Love that there was beer pong involved – haha!
What a fun day! I love hanging out at the beach!
What a fun weekend it looks like you’re having!! I was supposed to go to the beach yesterday but it was kind of yucky and overcast so we went to a museum instead. That beach looks so familiar!!
Sometimes letting loose is the best! No regrets.
What a fun day!
I’m sure you will rock your run hungover or not!!
what a fun summer day!!! i really miss having these kinda days with my friends…now that everyone has kids it’s hard.
Looks like a fabulous fun-filled weekend! This reallllly makes me want to hit up a beach right about now
is this cape cod? looks like nauset beach!
Now that’s what I call a summer’s day! It’s well worth the hangover!!
Ahhh I’m so jealous! That reminds me of when I went to college in Charleston and I’d get to go out on the boat, or simply to the beach! I definitely miss that living back in the Midwest!
Looks like so much fun! I love how Murphy was there to participate in each “event.” LOL, so cute!
I hope the puggy’s drinks were virgins!
Wow what a fun weekend! And I love the Murphy pics, too cute!!
hahaha this post is EXACTLY why i just added you on the blogs i love page on my blog.. looks like SO much fun!!
I agree with your equation at the beginning of this blog’s post.
Who needs Calculus when you can have equations involving beach + summer + BBQ?
I love the beach!!!
Looks like the perfect summer day!
Does Murphy have a Pug flotation device for the boat? I love kayaking and would love to take Alouysius but he’s such a bad boy when it comes to staying still that I’d be afraid he’d go overboard. If I could get him a floatie, I’d be willing to at least give him a try.
