Hi, friends. I’m having a tough time over here. One of my friends passed away suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday. His passing is not something I want to openly discuss on CNC, but I want to let you guys know since things might not seem super upbeat in the coming days, but I’ll try my best.
With that said, here are some pretty photos of my breakfast.

One of my friend’s favorite Dave Matthews Band songs was “Granny.” We used to blast it on repeat and jam out together. I always think of him when I hear this song.

i’m so sorry for your loss… that is a beautiful song. i hope over time it will still be a sweet memory of him. i know for the sake of blogs, people force the happy so they’re readers stay happy… but just know you don’t have to fake it too much. you’re hurting, and we’re sorry.
Oh darling, you poor thing. I have a friend who’s dealing with cancer in a serious, final way, and a few years back had a friend pass away unexpectedly too. So many, many hugs your way.

This is such a strange coincidence that I wanted to share. Last night I was revisiting old DMB songs on YouTube. While listening to Granny, I inexplicably started weeping. My husband asked what was wrong and I said I had no idea, I was just overcome with emotion. I’ll take that as a sign that he’s in a better place. I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish you comfort in the memories of his friendship. As far as your loved ones here with you now, just remember: “Celebrate we will for life is short but sweet for certain.”
