Fun Night, Quiet Morning

August 16, 2011

Last night was ridiculously fun. The five of us sat around all night, played card games, and laughed a lot.

There was also some drinking.

Eating.

Doggie shenanigans.

And people shenanigans that took place.

Not surprisingly, the house was pretty quiet this morning, which meant it was the perfect time for me to get some blogging done and catch up on emails. I love the quiet hours of the morning. I’m always a zillion times more productive then.

Murphy heard me wake up, so he got out of bed and wanted breakfast. Once he was finished eating, I took him on a walk. It was so peaceful outside this morning.

When I returned, I made myself breakfast: cinnamon raisin toast with peanut butter and banana on top and an iced coffee with soy milk.

I’m not sure what’s on the agenda for today, but our friends Erin and Mike (and Ping) are coming to visit.

CNC at HLS

If you haven’t had a chance to buy my book yet, Barnes & Noble will be selling it at the Healthy Living Summit on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. I will also be available to sign copies during the breaks and lunch and pretty much all weekend long–  just stop me if you see me!

I’m getting so excited for HLS! A BIG thank you to our gold sponsor, Quaker, for their support! We Meghann couldn’t have done it without them!

LOL Mal’s expression is priceless in that photo!! Looks like a nice relaxing night. I wish I was coming to HLS this year but I have another fitness conference this weekend. Hopefully I’ll get to the 2012 one! :)

Looks like a wonderful morning – and finally no more rain!

I love peaceful mornings – like today, my husband is still sleeping so I am enjoying my quiet breakfast.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Oh goodness, I feel like when I’m alone in the morning I’m a completely different person than later in the day. I can normally knock out about 3 important tasks on Saturday mornings before my beau even hits his first snooze button. Alas, he’s a night owl, so while I struggle to keep my eyes open after 10, he could write a novella.

I love the quiet hours of the morning as well. They are the BEST time of day–to be alone and sort yourself out before you have to face the day. :)

You know, I might be at the Ikea in Philly this weekend… I could just drag my husband over to the summit for an hour or two. Is it open access or did you have to register ahead of time? I will check the website too but I thought maybe you would know. Have a good relaxing day today!

Mornings are my favorite time too, they are so peaceful and I’m by far more productive. There’s something I love about being up before the rest of the world and getting a start on my day!
