Sam’s at Louis

June 15, 2011

Tonight, I was invited to a blogger event at Sam’s to welcome the restaurant’s new chef and new menu. We enjoyed delicious bites and cocktails on the patio while watching the boats pass by on the harbor. It was quite a lovely evening.

Sam’s is located on the second floor of the new Louis Boston on the waterfront. It’s just minutes from downtown Boston on Fan Pier overlooking the Boston Harbor.

Sam’s offers both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the water.

The views were amazing!

There’s not too many places like this in the city!

At the event, I enjoyed the signature cocktail for the evening, which was made with tequila, grapefruit juice, muddled cucumber and mint. It was slightly sweet and very refreshing.

I also munched on a ton of passed appetizers. Everything sounded so delicious, I didn’t want to turn down anything!

My favorites from the evening: a “BLT” made with crab meat, bacon, arugula, and tomato.

Pancetta braised endive with pink grapefruit and sesame brittle.

IMG_0034 (450x338)

Crispy jalapeño-crab Rangoon made with sweet & sour plum gastrique.

I’m actually pretty stuffed after eating all of those appetizers. Sam’s has a really great menu. I liked everything that I tried tonight.

Sam’s is definitely a cool place– delicious food, interesting cocktails, and amazing views of the city and waterfront. It’s a must-visit in my book!

Surprisingly, I haven’t done a lot of dining in Boston before. Have you reviewed any restaurants on the north shore?

@Cristina @ Girl Meets Pink: Hmm… I don’t think so. I don’t head up that way very often.

Wish I was there!! The view looks amazing but I know I would be totally distracted by the idea of shopping instead hehe. I miss the old Louis location in Newbury, but this new one really is just beautiful!

Tina,

Is it too late to submit a blog dog photo? I am a long time reader, but just got my first puppy!!! It is as joyous as it is exhausting. Is that how you remember it? I love her. I can’t stand her. I love her. I can’t handle the barking, peeing/pooping, nipping, chewing….I love her!
