Mmm! Two of my favorite foods together in one dessert! Smooth peanut butter and sweet banana combine to make these thick, muffin-like bars. All they need now are chocolate chips!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 stick of butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ripe banana
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray 8”³ X 8”³ baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ingredients until smooth.
  4. Spread batter in prepared baking pan and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes until bars are cooked all the way through.
  5. Let bars cool completely in pan before cutting.

Makes 12 bars
