Since Colitis took over my life, I’ve noticed that it hasn’t been as easy for me to come up with content for CNC. Not much is happening in my life right now (besides getting better and watching TV), so it’s sometimes challenging for me to write an interesting blog post. I mean, who wants to read about me sitting on the couch watching Toddlers & Tiaras? (I know, poor choice in programming. It was an especially low point for me.) So, instead of blogging about my poor television choices this afternoon, I went out and did something.

Mal and I took a trip to the liquor store to return some bottles. It was nice to get out of the house, especially since I’ve spent way too much time sitting on the couch. There’s actually now an ass dent on the middle cushion. For real.

We had a ton of bottles to return this afternoon. They’ve been sitting in our back hall, stinking up the place, for weeks. I’m so glad that they’re out of the house now!

We made $4.15! Not too shabby!

Of course, Mal immediately cashed in our earnings. I was a little jealous seeing him pick out a fun new beer to try, but, at the same time, beer is so unappealing to me right now. I hope my love for it returns soon!

A trip to the liquor store to return bottles probably doesn’t seem super exciting, but leaving the house without worrying about an urgent trip to to the bathroom is blog-worthy in my mind.

Lunch

This afternoon’s lunch included a Mighty Mango Naked juice, which was made with mango, orange, apple, and banana. (Rumor has it that mango is pretty easy on the digestive track.) I mixed the juice with a little bit of water and it was perfect. My body wanted juice in a bad way.

I’m actually getting pretty worried about the lack of nutrients in my diet. I’m taking a multivitamin everyday, but I’m definitely falling short. (I pulled a huge clump of hair out of the shower this morning!) I figured a juice would be a good bet since its easy to digest and loaded with healthy stuff. I’m also going to try eggs with dinner tonight for some protein.

Along with my Mighty Mango, I ate some more gluten-free pasta with butter and grate Parmesan.

I can’t say that lunch 100% agreed with my stomach, but it went down (out?) easier than the majority of meals I’ve eaten in the last week or so. I don’t want to jinx it, but today it the best day that I’ve had in awhile. Maybe I’m finally get better?
