Yesterday was such a whirlwind, but a fun whirlwind! After attending the Saratoga Brewfest, a friends’ wedding was next on our agenda.
The church were the ceremony was held was only about 15 minutes away from the brewfest, so Mal and I changed into our nice clothes in the parking lot and drove straight there. (We’re classy like that.)
Our friends Blain and Jaime got married at a beautiful Catholic church.
The bride was absolutely stunning! Jaime’s grandfather walked her down the aisle.
Vows.
Just married!!!
The reception had movie theme to it! So fun!
During the cocktail hour, I munched on a ton of appetizers. I was starving!
After drinking beer all afternoon, I decided not to drink at the reception. I just wasn’t feeling the booze. (I know, I’m as surprised as you are!)
Even still, Mal and I had a blast at the wedding!
Mr & Mrs!
For dinner, we enjoyed a Farm & City Salad, which was made with baby field greens, sharp cheddar cheese, walnuts, Granny Smith apple slices, and a honey Dijon vinaigrette. I definitely want to recreate this salad at home.
For my entrée, I had the Sirloin Steak, which was served with horseradish mashed potatoes and asparagus. I also ate a piece of wedding cake, but I never snapped a photo of it. It was marble cake with strawberry filing, buttercream frosting, and it was totally to die for!
With the happy couple!
I’m so glad we were able to celebrate Blain and Jaime’s big day with them. They’re the best!!
