• Half Day

    May 27, 2011

The nice thing about being my own boss is the ability to make my own work schedule. I spent a lot of time glued to my computer this week, so I gave myself permission to work the morning and take the rest of the afternoon off. Hooray for half day Fridays!!

This afternoon, I met my friend, Jen, for lunch at The Kinsale, an Irish pub and restaurant in downtown Boston. I love The Kinsale. It’s one of those places I can always count on for a good dining experience.

As soon as we sat down at the table, Jen and I both ordered a drink. A pint of Smuttynose Shoals Pale Ale for me; an extra spicy Bloody Mary for her. TGIF!

To eat, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries on the side. I ate almost the entire sandwich, but only a few of the fries. I was really in the mood for buffalo sauce this afternoon!

After lunch, Jen and I headed over to City Hall Plaza in search of the Cookie CAREavan. It didn’t take us long to find it!

    Happy Cookie Friday to me!

A couple of readers met me for cookies too! Thanks for coming, Casey and Stephanie!

I spent the rest of the afternoon doing small projects around the house and hanging out with M & m. Now, I’m relaxing and catching up with my DVR, including the final episode of Oprah. (I bet I’ll cry at the end.)

    Have a nice night, guys!!!

P.S. What do you think of my shorts? Keep ‘em or donate ‘em?

I like your shorts!! I’m partial to long shorts though, I’m so pale any time outside at all risks sunburned knees. If you don’t love them & won’t wear them at least a few times this summer though, may as well donate them!

I hope to be my own boss some day for the very same reason. Awesome Cookie Friday, too!!

I like the shorts- I love bermuda shorts b/c they’re not TOO casual. I say keep them! Have a good Memorial Day weekend, Tina!

Cute shorts, and the buffalo chicken sandwhich looks amazing! Have a great weekend, Tina!

    Donate them!

I say donate the shorts — your legs are too nice to cover up in long shorts!

    Danielle @ weightsandmeasures May 28, 2011 at 4:29 pm

Keep them! They look good on you! Sometimes Bermuda shorts are more comfortable.

    I love the kinsale! Can’t beat $10 burger/beer combo after 10pm! :-)

I had to work during the afternoon but my colleague (who knows me so well) picked me up a cookie. :-) It was delicious!

donate em! (just being honest, I have a similar pair and they bug me on ME.) I live so close to the Kinsale but have never eaten there!!

I love bermuda shorts, but I don’t like the light khaki color in general. If I were you I’d gather up my unwanted clothes and have an online “garage” sale and then go buy new stuff!

    I can’t wait until I freelance full-time again so I can do occasional half-days!

Keep ‘em! Shorts like those are so versatile and they look good on you!

I paid $135 for Disney’s Wine and Dine Half Marathon last October! I thought the price was crazy but Disney races are amazing.

I was actually going to say I really liked your shorts! I wish I could wear those kinds, but my legs are too big and they just look weird =/
