Yep, I’m definitely having a good time at Fitbloggin!!
Of course, I’m taking advantage of the sessions and learning a lot, but, really, I love coming to conferences to hang out with my blog buddies!
This morning, I took an early flight from Boston to Baltimore and totally passed out on the flight. So, when I arrived at BWI, I was cranky, exhausted, and a little bit disorientated. Luckily, I found some iced coffee and bumped into Monica and her husband, Ben. Things got better after that.
The three of us took the Super Shuttle to the hotel together. I’m a space cadet and had no idea where I was staying for the weekend, but thanks to Monica, I ended up at the right hotel and the shuttle man didn’t kick me out of the van. Clearly, I need to get my life together. Derp.
After successfully arriving at the hotel, I checked-in, went up to my hotel room, and then registered for Fitbloggin.
So far, I’m loving Fitbloggin. It’s extremely well-organized and everyone is supportive, warm, and friendly. I love the positive vibe, and I’ve already met a ton of wonderful people. Fibloggin has only just started, but I’m already a huge fan of this conference.
Before lunch, a group of us got hungry, so we took a quick trip to Whole Foods for snacks.
I took advantage of the free samples. Obviously.
We also acted like it was our first time ever at a Whole Foods and snapped a bunch of photos. (Sometimes, I think bloggers really can’t help themselves.)
Before I knew it, it was time for lunch—and it was a good thing because I was starving!
The lunch spread included a big spinach salad with beets and gorgonzola cheese, roasted veggies, and a variety of sandwiches.
I grabbed a roast beef sandwich with caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese and a bunch of roasted veggies.
After lunch, Monica and I took another trip to Whole Foods for dessert. I picked a vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting. Delish.
The day’s events are just about over, and we’re gearing up for a cocktail party next!

OMG this is right in front of my office building! Come on up! JK. Have fun. Enjoy Harbor East! I highly recommend Chui’s sushi if you’re looking for something like that around here. Also RA (right around the corner) is really fun for a night out, plus they have great cocktails.
Looks like such a good time
I wish I could have gone this year, waahhh! Hopefully I will make it to Healthy Living Summit!
Yay for cocktails
are you doing a blogger meet-up at all? I’m not at the conference but I live in Baltimore
@Coco: I’m only here until 6:30 PM tomorrow night, so I don’t think I’ll have time.

It’s so funny that you said you were a space cadet. I’m pretty sure I would have checked my hotel ticket 85 times on the flight. I freak out!

Such a gorgeous group of ladies! You have had an exciting week, haven’t you?!
Oh, so fun!! This sounds like such a fabulous conference. Maybe next year I’ll be able to go.
That looks like SO much fun!!! I’m jealous!
Wow! They sure know how to make food over at FitBloggin’! Everything looks delicious!
I can’t believe there’s a blog conference that you’re at less than 2 miles from my house and I didn’t know about it!! How did this happen?!
Tonight for dinner, go somewhere in Fells Point. Mezze would be a good choice, and they should be able to accommodate a large party with little notice, but try to call ahead. And when you’re in Fells, go to Pitango for Gelato! Fells Point is only a few blocks further east from whole foods!
Major congrats on your successful book signing! The Fitblogging conference looks like so much fun! What a great reward for your hard work! Have fun at the cocktail party!
How did I miss those cupcakes on my trip to Whole Foods!!???
I loved the vibe at Fitbloggin too. It was so positive and loving. Thanks for your wrap up!
Should have introduced myself. Can’t believe we are local, but have not met. Hope to meet you at the local event. Stop by my blog for my recap as well.
