‘Tis the Season

I love the holidays!!!

(Sorry, just had to say it again! ;-) )

‘Tis the season for holiday parties.

Last night’s get-together was a dual Avon-Pampered Chef party hosted by my sister and her friend, Kate.

Apparently, I was really in the holiday spirit and ended up buying $30 worth of Avon products from my sister! Marie bought the Color Protection Shampoo & Conditioner from my sister a couple of weeks ago and raved about it, so I figured why not? It’s practically a third of the price of the stuff I have in my shower right now! The other items that I purchased… umm, I have no idea how it happened!?

‘Tis the season for red wine and appetizers.

My sister served a bunch of plated appetizers, including veggies & dip and pita chips & hummus. I brought Spinach-Artichoke Dip.

I ate a lot of Spinach Artichoke Dip last night.

‘Tis the season for delicious holiday baked goods.

I also ate a lot of holiday baked goods last night.

‘Tis the season for family and friends.

Please note my sister and Marie’s outfits in the above photo. They’re both wearing their Clothing Swap finds! Love it! Don’t they look stylish!?! I totally need to host Clothing Swap soon!

My mom recently did a Pampered Chef/Jewelry party and it was great having built-in appetizers for the party!

I want to go to a dual Avon + Pampered Chef party…with great friends/family! And if the wine flowed, even better :)

How fun!

And i love spin/artichoke dip. I need to make some now!

I love the Christmas season too. We are fortunate our husbands do too. I have friends whose husbands don’t even want a tree up and God forbid Christmas music.
It is the season of love.

Those cookies and cupcakes look fabulous! Yum.

Whenever I go to Avon parties, or Mary Kay/Pampered Chef, etc I can’t help but buy stuff. Mostly because I feel pressured to do so!

Love the holidays! We just put the lights on our tree and outside and despite the event that is every year with lights not working etc, its still so much fun!

Holiday parties are always so fun!! And considering I never even go into Sephora because I don’t trust myself around $60 eyeshadow palettes, I’d say that $30 on all those Avon products is a pretty great deal!

All the food looks so pretty and so well displayed.

Aww looks like so much fun! I once accidentally spent $100 on makeup at a Mary Kay party so don’t feel too guilty about the $30 you spent!

It’s so hard not to get sucked into buying beauty products! Every time I go into Sephora, I come out at least $20 poorer. But hey, it’s the holidays, you deserve to pamper yourself a little. ;)

$30 in Avon isn’t too bad compared to what you could have spent on Pampered Chef stuff. That stuff is soooo expensive!

Reply

CampingGirl December 21, 2010 at 3:48 pm

I would have spent so much more than that on Pampered Chef… I am an addict!
