Gonna Tear It Up

November 5, 2010

I made it! I’m here in San Francisco! Say hello to my roommates for the weekend: Jenna & Anne P! We’re going to tear it up in San Francisco! ;-)

We’re sharing a room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

Lunch

On the flight to San Francisco, I ordered the “Go Picnic” meal, which included lemon pepper tuna, hummus, crackers, crackers, Pop Chips, dried apricots, and a yummy piece of buttercrunch toffee.

It was a really good lunch for a plane!

Once I arrived in San Francisco, I navigated the BART system to get to the hotel where I met Anne and Jenna.

Snack

Once we check into our room and got settled, we went to visit BethT and her new baby. But, first, we stopped for food! I grabbed an iced soy latte with brown sugar, which is my newest love. Holy delicious! I’m taking this back home!

I also shared a turkey sandwich with Jenna. The pickles totally made the sandwich!

Time to get ready for the Welcome Reception & Street Food Fare! Can’t wait to see/meet everyone! :-D

Geez — the best airplane food I’ve ever had was a bag of pretzels and a can of club soda — yours looks much better!

Enjoy your time in SF!

oh man you guys missed all the excitement in sf! on wednesday, the bart system had 72,000 more morning commuters because of our WORLD SERIES PARADE. it was crazy. and today, it’s more somber in the streets for another reason, but i do hope you enjoy your time in the bay, despite our current state.
