So Smooth

September 5, 2010

What a beautiful morning! It’s cool and crisp, yet bright and sunny. It’s the perfect fall day. I can’t wait to go outside and enjoy this wonderful weather. Fall in Boston is my favorite season. There’s nothing better.

Breakfast

I woke up with a grumbling stomach, so I headed straight for the kitchen to make breakfast. I started with a couple of pieces of Manna bread with Teddie peanut butter spread on top.

I also drank a smoothie made with banana, strawberries, shredded zucchini, ground flaxseed meal, and vanilla soymilk.

Smoothies are so delicious. Why don’t I drink them more often?!

IMG_0007.JPG

Actually, I know why I don’t drink smoothies more often. I hate cleaning up the mess. I’m so lazy sometimes.

I love smoothies too but I’m totally with you on cleaning the mess. I hate it.

Just curious about the donation. When you go to the information about the banner and donation it says the raffle ended Friday. Does it or is it today?

I’ve found the easiest way to clean a blender is add a drop of dish soap, half a blender-full of warm water, put the lid back on, and run the blender! Dump out the soap, rinse, and ta-da! This has usually worked for me, except with uber-sticky stuff, (hummus, nut butter, etc.)

Tara September 9, 2010 at 3:01 pm

What is manna bread and Teddie PB? I’m assuming Teddie PB is simply the brand, but just wondering…have you tried Better ‘n Peanut Butter, which is about 1/2 the fat and calories of most normal natural peanut butters? It’s delicious, but does have to be refridgerated, which minimizes the room temp creamy goodness I love about PB!

Reply

Tina September 9, 2010 at 3:16 pm

@Tara: Yep, I’ve Better ‘N Peanut Butter. I don’t like it.
