Date Night at Alba

September 5, 2010

This evening, Mal and I finally went to Alba, an upscale Mediterranean Steakhouse in Quincy Center. Alba has been on our list for years now. Seriously, we’ve been talking about going for as long as I can remember.

It’s sort of funny that we waited so long to go because Alba has an amazing roof deck, which is so random uncommon for the Quincy area.

The roof deck was so cool… and huge!! We’ll definitely be back before the cold weather hits.

While enjoying the awesomeness of the roof deck, we enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

I’m really digging “mineral-y” white wines lately.

Mal and I also snacked on an order of fried calamari with pickled jalapeños, red bell pepper, and chipotle aioli as well as some sliced sourdough with butter.

Life is good.

Especially when you get to hang out with this guy! ;-)

I’m chilling with M & m for the rest of the evening.

I’m loving Labor Day this year! :-D

I’m glad you had a wonderful date night with Mal and finally were able to try Alba. There are so many restaurants on my list FOREVER that I have yet to try here in Portland, Oregon (my hometown). I need to just go sometime! :)

You both seem like very cool people.
Just had to say that, I don’t comment much, but think it.

What a great date night!!! I agree that you guys look so in love and that you actually really enjoy each other’s company!!! I know that seems funny because you are married, but my husband and I are very similar to you guys and we meet a lot of couples that don’t seem like they even like each other!!!

I love your attitude today!!! So bright and optimistic!! :)

Rooftop decks can be so romantic. It has been really nice and cool here in MN and I would love to eat dinner outside more — the breeze just refreshes me!

looks yummy. After seeing your second picture I want to run out and get myself a drumstick afterwards. I’m on a cab kick… deep red wines are making me happy, but we generally eat red meat if we eat meat and a merlot or cab just seems right.
