… of Murphy!!!
During the work week, Murphy wakes up with Mal and me around 6:00 in the morning. Once we get out of bed, he doesn’t want to miss a thing!
While “Dad” showers, Murphy waits for him on the rug in the bathroom.
Meanwhile, I start making breakfast for Mal and me.
Then, it’s time for Murphy to eat his breakfast. He woofs it down in a matter of seconds, so we put a ball in his food to slow him down and prevent choking.
While Mal and I eat breakfast, Murphy hangs out with us and tries not to fall asleep. He’s so tired in the morning.
Around 7:00, Mal leaves to go to school. Murphy and I head out for a walk around the neighborhood so he can do his “business.”
About 20 minutes later, we return home and it’s time for “cheese,” which is Murphy’s multivitamin. I used to give it to him wrapped in a piece of cheese, but now he takes it without (like a big boy). (The vet prescribed the vitamins to help with Murphy’s excessive shedding. It works pretty well!)
After an exciting morning, it’s back to bed for the pug.
Until I wake him up a few hours later. I don’t want a lazy dog!
Murphy “helps” me work for the next few hours by sitting on my lap and keeping me company– sort of like the photo below.
Once I finish my afternoon blog post, Murphy and I go out for his long walk of the day. Most days, we walk for an hour or more.
Our walk almost always includes some stick chewing.
When Mal gets home, he and Murphy play together and run around the apartment like freaks.
Murphy keeps us company while we cook and eat dinner, and then Mal takes him out one last time to go “potty.” Murphy then hangs out on the couch with us until it’s time for bed.
I’m telling ya, it’s a tough life for this dog! 😉
Yummy breakfast this morning! I incorporated the last Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Scone into a bowl of overnight oats. Last night, I mentioned that I was getting sick of these scones, but it was delicious crumbled up in a bowl of overnight oats. It added so much flavor!
In the mix:
- 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Scone, crumbled
- 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1/3 cup water
- Chia seeds
- 2 scoops of Barney Butter
