Happy Sunday!
Today has been a nice mix of work and play. I accomplished a lot of things that I needed to do, but I also enjoyed a number of things that I wanted to do. Basically, I’ve had a nice, little Sunday.
Snack
I tried to sleep in this morning, but Body Pump was calling my name. Before class, I snacked on Pumpkin-N-Spice bar, which was really delicious. It’s one of my favorite flavors as I love all things pumpkin!

Breakfast
After Body Pump, Mal whipped up a quick breakfast. He made me an open-faced egg sandwich on a piece of whole wheat toast with shredded cheddar cheese and hot sauce. It totally hit the spot.

On the side, I drank a chocolate protein shake mixed with Almond Breeze and iced coffee.

Snack
After breakfast, Mal and I cleaned our apartment from top to bottom. (We’re such slobs during the work week!) Once we finished cleaning, I snacked on a sliced peach.

Then, we visited an Open House!!!

Remember when Mal and I almost bought a house? Well, we’re back at it again! But, this time we have a whole new perspective and a kick-ass realtor (not the moron we dealt with last time).
Mal and I really liked the house that we visited today, but we didn’t love it. It was located on a fairly busy road and the living room was pretty tiny. We won’t be making an offer on this one, but it was still fun to see a potential home. I’m sure there will be many more Open Houses in our future!

Lunch
When we returned home from house hunting, it was time for lunch. Mal and I shared a peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread with raw veggies and Goddess dressing for dipping on the side.

We ate lunch while we caught up with last week’s Bethenny Getting Married. (I’m starting to realize that I watch a lot of bad television. Should I be embarrassed by my show selections!?
)

After lunch, we took Turd Ferguson to the park.

Murphy had a great time running around with Dad and Mom.

We attempted to take a family portrait, but Murphy was much more interested in playing with the Yellow Lab on the other side of the park.

M & T!!

I love this sign!

Snack
A little while ago, I snacked on some dried pineapple that the folks from MegaFruit sent me to sample a couple of weeks ago. I love pretty much love all dried fruit, so I was happy to take them up on their offer.

Mmm, delicious! I practically ate the entire bag, but there really wasn’t much dried pineapple in it.

I also snacked on some pistachios before dinner.

Dinner
Mal and I were both feeling lazy tonight, so we made ham and cheese sandwiches on toasted bread for dinner tonight. It wasn’t the most exciting meal, but it sure was tasty!
I love a good ham and cheese sandwich every once in awhile.

To satisfy my sweet tooth, I made a packet of instant oatmeal. I added a little bit of maple syrup and some walnuts to the mix.

What are you having for dinner tonight?

Haha I LOVE the stop sign!!
Aw I hope you guys find a nice home to move into if you’re looking for houses again.
For dinner I’m having veggies and roasted potatoes. Yum!
Sounds like a fabulous Sunday. I wouldn’t have been too thrilled with that house being on such a hill either. And the small living room would turn me off too. I hope you find something you love one day!
What a great stop sign!
I have been thinking about a panini for days now – I’ve done our dinner planning for this week – perhaps next week.
Sounds like you have had a great day – I love being able to both do productive things and fun things!
Paninis sound amazing! I’ve definitely been craving mozzarella and tomato. Also, super jealous of your pumpkin score, I am really into everything pumpkin-flavored lately.
That is a fabulous STOP sign!! Genius
I had hummus encrusted tempeh, with cocoa durum wheat ad my favourite roast veggies
We spent our afternoon house hunting as well. I wish I had your good attitude about it! It can get so frustrating and tiresome! We are having naan pizza tonight..and probably some carrot sticks on the side.
@Tina: The house wasn’t on a hill. It was on a busy road, which made us nervous with Murphy.
I was going to make a nice Sunday dinner but I’m not really hungry and it’s already 5:15! I might scrap the idea and have PB&J
Gotta love the family portrait. Murphy cracks me up! Oh, and the husband and wife photo isn’t bad either!
Yum, panini’s! it looks like you had a great (and productive) Sunday! I wish I could say the same for myself! Maybe it’s the weather? I feel less accomplished when the weather is not cooperating.
We made a huge brunch today with brown sugar glazed ham, potatoes with fried onion, scrambled eggs, biscuits, watermelon, cantaloupe and grapes….all was dairy and gluten free. I consider the leftovers to be dinner tonight! Looking at houses is so much fun. Enjoy your evening!
That’s such a cute stop sign! I wish my street had one.
I’m feeling a bit lazy and might go with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Dinner for us tonight is fresh picked today Michigan Corn and Fresh picked today Michigan Potatos!
I’m going to have what I like to call my Garbage Disposal salad. I more or less go in the fridge and find random toppings that would make a great salad, and then throw them all together. Tonight, I’m thinking lettuce, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, and carrots mixed with gorgonzola cheese, BBQ chicken breast, and ranch dressing!
Haha I love the stop sign.
I had a tomato mozzarella panini for lunch with pesto. Yum!
haha I love Bethenny Getting Married…she’s so funny! “Margherita” paninis sound delish!
Good question…I haven’t figured it out yet, hmmm?? Just wanted to say best of luck with the house hunting!!
Ooh yum, that dried pineapple looks really good! I just got myself some breakfast so dinner is a LONG way off for me – but that’s what happens when you live on the other side of the world
But tomato, basil and mozzarella paninis sound amazing!
Marinated round steak on the grill, homemade cole slaw (vinegar dressing), and potato wedges.
Some kind of mini cookout. Most likely hamburgers, corn on the cob, potato salad?
That sign is hilarious! We’re doing a picnic since we’re going to the last night of Shakespeare in the Park tonight!! Grilled chicken kabobs, salads, and corn! Delicious!!
oooh I love that egg sammie!
And good luck for the house hunting!
Don’t be ashamed of Bethenny!! I’m not
I have been obsessed with the tomato mozzarella basil combo for two weeks now, it’s sooo delicious!!
I love jersey shore and bethenny too, I can’t help it, they are both so funny!
i am obsessed with bethenny! i think she’s so intelligent and witty and honest. love her show!
dinner sounds delicious! paninis are the best
For dinner I’m having a GIANT salad! Gotta clean up the eats after an indulgent weekend!
Those peanut butter sandwiches look good!!! Good Luck on your house search!
House hunting how exciting for you! And your idea for dinner sounds delicious and easy
Good combo.
i just made a homemade ancho chile sauce w/ onion, garlic, oregano, cumin and dried anchos and am marinating some chicken in it as we speak… chicken soft tacos are on the menu for tonight!
I hiked the Blue Hills today and had Trader Joe’s pita chips and guacamole for dinner.
Sounds like a good day. Enjoy your evening.
Tonight I’m having fish tacos!
I love Nature’s Path chewy bars – the chocolate coconut one is super yummy!
house hunting is fun!
Making Butternut Squash Risoto based on the Simply Recipes version (with a few modifications). Smells good so far
You can read about it on The Runners Cookie later!
You definitely should not be embarrassed by your TV selections. One of the fun parts about being a grownup is that you get to watch fun things on TV instead of all educational shows. Ha ha! I like Bethanny a lot more on her own show than I ever did on Real Housewives.
That sounds way delicious. I think that’s the perfect summer dinner! Nice and easy before Sunday movie night
I love Bravo shows — I also caught up on Bethenny today!
Eggs on toast is the best meal — I could eat it every day!
Tonight we are having breakfast for dinner: “home fries” (red potatoes, onions, green peppers) with italian sausage and a fried egg on top!
I love that stop sign!! So Boston.
Fun day! I’ve got a roasted red pepper gazpacho chilling in the fridge that I’m going to top with some seared scallops come dinner time.
Popcorn! with NOOCH! and True Blood (HBO series) on the side!
You do watch some bad television…. but don’t worry, alot of others do too, or it wouldn’t be there for you to choose
My embarressing shows are Kourtney and Kloe take Miami and Big Brother.
OMG I’ve seen that “Stop” sign!!! Is it down near you guys in quincy? Haha too funny. I also LOVE Bethany’s Getting Married, she’s hilarious. Hey I’m bummed The Hills and The CIty are over…but can’t wait for Gossip Girl in the fall haha!
i love eating sandwiches all day sometimes. they are great! we’re using up the cilantro, garlic, and parm tonight – i’m either going to make a pesto but i feel like i’ll get lazy and do a pasta toss with those ingredients less smushed instead…
How shopping is so much fun! Good luck!
I’ll probably be having dinner on the road. Which probably means Subway. I like Subway once in a while, but I’ve had it so much the past two weeks!
Lunch leftovers: garlicky spaghetti. It’s whole wheat spaghetti, grape tomatoes, cannellini beans, garlic, lemon juice & arugula. SO GOOD!
I made some surprisingly delicious summer ratatouille for dinner.
And I lovelovelove Bethenny Getting Married! I’ve always watched Real Housewives of NY, but Bethenny’s show is so much funnier.
Tonight I’m making carrot ginger soup, roasted corn, and a green bean salad for dinner. Yummy!
Tonight dinner was Eggplant Parmesan! Oh so good! It has been years since I made it and I don’t remember liking it last time but it sure was good this time.
