I am stuffed. I may never eat again. My culinary tour of Orlando was amazing in so many ways, but I’m so glad that it’s over!
My final day in Orlando started with blog friends!
Meghann, Katy, and Katy joined me for breakfast at Harvest in the Hilton where I was staying.

I knew that I had a full day of eating ahead of me, so I ordered a light meal: fruit salad + zucchini bread.

After breakfast, I headed back to my suite, caught up with some work, and then met the group for brunch at The Boheme at the Grand Bohemian Hotel.

The Jazz Brunch at The Boheme is a Sunday tradition in Orlando and it offers something for everyone– from a a raw bar, chef’s carvery table, gourmet omelets, desserts (!!!), and more.

Brunch included mimosas. Hey, it was after noon!

I wasn’t all that hungry for brunch, but I still filled my plate up with a few favorite foods: grilled veggies and dessert! So, very Carrots ‘N’ Cake of me!

I always have room for bread pudding and carrot cake!

I loved the carrot cake! I ended up eating two of these adorable shot glass desserts.

Carrot cake + mimosa =
!

Midway through the meal, the chef served us a delicious dish of sliced filet mignon with a blueberry-pecan sauce and smoked gorgonzola. It was to die for. I helped myself to two small pieces.

Obviously, we were very excited!

After brunch, we stumbled upon an artist using coffee to paint! How cool is this!?!

He uses different coffee roasts to create these pieces of art. I was impressed!

After brunch, we visited the Morse Museum and wandered around the Winter Park area of Orlando. I absolutely loved Winter Park! It’s an adorable area with restaurants, cafes, shopping, and speciality shops. It also seemed really dog-friendly as I saw three pugs!

Before dinner, our group met at the Wine Room to sample a few wines.

The Wine Room is a combination wine store, wine bar, and deli. It was a great place to unwind and socialize with my blog buddies. Th Wine Room offers 148 varieties of wine and an exclusive state-of-the-art Enomatic wine-serving system, which allows visitors to purchase a smart card and dispense wine with the touch of a button.

I had a blast trying new wines. Boston NEEDS a place like this!

While tasting wine, we enjoyed a nice spread of cheese, meats, olives, pickles, crackers, and bread.

Blog buddies! Carol and Jessica!

Then, we headed to dinner. Yes, more food!
Our group attended the Best of Orlando Dining Event in which specially-selected Orlando chefs showcased their idea of the best of Central Florida cuisine. It was hosted at The Ravenous Pig and contributing chefs included: Scott Copeland of Antonio’s La Fiamma Ristorante, Kevin Fonzo of K Restaurant, Jamie McFadden of Cuisiniers Catered Cuisine and Events, and James and Julie Petrakis of The Ravenous Pig.

The event started with champagne and passed hors d’oeuvres.

Deviled Quail Eggs with House-Made Duck Ham and Brioche

Miniature Biscuit BLTs

Grilled Octopus with Romesco

Winter Park Dairy Bleu Cheese Tart with Heirloom Tomatoes and Balsamic Caramel

I enjoyed all of the appetizers, but doesn’t my expression just say, “No more food”?

Dinner included one small course with a wine pairing from each of the contributing chefs.
Citrus & Coriander Cured Florida Cobia with Orange Smoked Habanero Sorbet and Pickled Watermelon Relish

Brentwood Sweet Corn Veloute with Florida Frog Leg and Bacon Hushpuppy

St. Augustine Flounder with Garden Heirloom Gazpacho, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Canaveral Blue Crab

The fried green tomato + gazpacho was especially outstanding!

Palmetto Creek Farms Smoked Pork “Napoleon,” Deep Creek Ranch Chicken Fried Beef Tongue, Local Rabbit Ballotine with Pickled Cherry Preserves

I only tried a few bites from each course, but managed to devour the dessert. Obviously!
It was easily my favorite dish of the evening. It was the perfect blend of creamy, sweet, and refreshing.
Vanilla-Bean Créme Caramel with Huckleberry Compote and Florida-Honey Tuile

I definitely ate like a queen while I was in Orlando!! I had a blast exploring the city and tasting different cuisines, but I am SO ready to get back to “normal” eating. A BIG thanks to Denise at the CVB for organizing a wonderful culinary tour!!!
I have one more post about my adventures in Orlando. It’s about the highlight of my trip– well, besides the amazing breakfast that I ate at Bull & Bear. That meal blew my mind!

i don’t know if i’ve ever been so jealous of food before…it’s all so beautiful and delicious!
What a fun day! Holy cow though, that is a ton of food! I went to the MN State Fair yesterday and was in a food coma the rest of the day. It looks like you were too!
Those coffee paintings are beautiful!
You really have had your share of food in Orlando eh? Well, now we know all about the restaurant scene there! It’ll leave you stuffed
I love the idea of coffee art! I’m stuffed just looking at all of the wonderful food you’ve had the past couple of days!
I think you’ve officially convinced me there is better food in Orlando than Boston haha… just kidding, but I am impressed. I don’t blame you at all for being ready to get back to normal eating though. I’m full just reading about all of it!
Rolling out of town, no doubt! But what a wonderful experience and such an honor to be there. Even though you’re stuffed, I’m sure you wouldn’t trade a bite of it
Have a safe trip home!
That is definitely one FOODIE weekend!! Looks delicious, but I’d be ready to return home to normal eating too. Orlando definitely looks like it has some tasty spots!
That carrot cake is adorable! And I really want some of that coffee art for my apartment! I already loved Orlando (mostly Disney) but this makes me love it even more!
Woah that whole day looks amazing! What caught my eye the most was balsamic caramel… yum!
love the carrot cake parfait!
Wow! What an awesome and brilliant idea for a wine tasting place! I want one by me! No, no, I want to OPEN one by me! Talk about dream job….A-MAZ-ING!
The rest of your trip seems pretty epic too.
Oh those deviled eggs look so good and so different. num!
laura
I’ve been to the Wine Room in Winter Park..it’s one of my favorite places to go there!
Brunches are the best! I’m jealous!
I love the expression Tina! It was fun seeing all the great places you went and I really enjoyed your fantastic food photography!
I’m full just reading about your trip. I’m glad you had a good time, but I’m sure you’re ready for a little detox. I know I would be.
I’m seriously jealous of all the opportunities you’ve gotten in Orlando…so many amazing eats! I love the “ravenous pig” name – so fitting for me!
holy crap! Meals fit for a queen. You are a champ for eating all of that food and sharing it with us!
Wow! That is a whole lotta food! Looks delish though:)
It is great following along on your adventure! Love the photos!
Wow – so much good looking food! It looks like a fun trip but I’d probably only want salad for a week!
Wowzers, you truly enjoyed some amazing food over the weekend! Everything looks so good.
Everything is so well photographed and looks delicious! The creme caramel at the end is almost making me drool.
Too bad you are returning to 95 degree weather here in Boston. I don’t suspect you will be hitting the pavement this week, unless you do it at the crack of dawn! Good luck digesting
Now you know why I want to live to Winter Park? That’s where Derek and I will be house hunting at the end of next month! And I’m glad you enjoyed the wine room! I should have snuck in to join ya’l!!
Love the coffee painter and mini biscuit blt’s!
As amazing as all that food is, I would probably be feeling the same way. After a certain point your body just NEEDS light food. I loved reading about it all though.
How perfect were those carrot cake shots?! So cute.
I’ve only been to Orlando once (well, not counting Disney), and I ate at The Ravenous Pig. The dinner there was awesome. So so good. Oh, and next time you’re eating your way through Orlando, you should also check out Wa, which has some great Japanese and sushi.
No more food?
I’d be happy to tag in as a reinforcement if you ever need any help eating
I always manage to devour desserts!
Hey Tina,
Not sure if I’m the only one experiencing problems with your new blog layout, but I STILL cannot see pictures whenever I pull up your blog on my iPhone! Being on a desktop–it’s not a problem, but the mobile version still is screwy! Hate to bogg you down, but figured you’d want to know
love, love, love a good jazz brunch! amazing!
Wow, I’m full just from reading your recap!! I bet we’ll be seeing some salads on the blog in the next couple days, huh?
It’s inspiring to see the plating artistry on these dishes!
Holy Moly, food! You have seen it all in Orlando. And there is still even more!! Glad you liked Winter Park. The Wine Room was always a favorite of mine. There are many restaurants there. And the Grand Bohemian is a fun hotel. Stayed there after my apartment flooded for FREE! Travel back safely.
wow what an insane amount of food, how fun, though!
Food galore!
When you’re back in Boston you should try The Wine Gallery. It was my absolute FAVORITE wine shop in Boston. The ambiance is a little bit different, but they always have a great wine juke box going and twice a year they have grand tastings which are lovely, huge and free.
I must be completely lame, but the most delicious looking thing to me was the breakfast! (Sorry, but it’s too hot to think about hot, heavy food–fresh fruit sounds wonderful though!)
Glad you had a great time–good luck with the post-trip detox!
Laura 31 – I think it’s something with safari bc I can’t see the photos on my iPad but I don’t have any problems with IE on my desktop.
Love the carrot cake in a glass!!! Paired with a mimosa, that makes for a pretty much perfect brunch in my book
WOW- that food all looks so amazing! I’m pretty sure you’d have to roll me outta there too! It looks delish though….everything.
It seems that all there is to do in Orlando is eat and drink. I wish they would have taken you to some places for entertainment, minus food. You must be so stuffed be on belief.
Looks like you’ve had a good time. I bet you can’t wait to make yourself some nice tasty salads when you get home!
WOW! That food looks amazing! I love the pictures in Winter Park, it looks like such a cute area!
Those tiny BLT’s are adorable! Pugs have really grown on me. I love small dogs (and BLT’s, apparently), and pugs are kind of strange looking, but in such a strangely cute way.
I don’t like The Wine Room much, it’s honestly too pretentious for me. I’ve been there a few times and was treated poorly by staff. I much prefer Eola Wine Co. If you ever find yourself in Winter Park again definitely try there, or a cosmo at Luma!
@ Laura
Me too! I usually only use my iPad and iPhone and it’s kind of (well really) annoying to have to fire up my laptop to read 1 blog.
I went to a wine bar when I was in Miami a couple years ago, and I agree–they are awesome!! They can get a bit spendy though. But it’s nice to be able to taste the wines before you decide to purchase any.
Your food pics looks amazing. You’d have to roll me out of Orlando too if I was in your shoes!
i think Boston should definitely get a wine place like that
