OpenSky threw a rockin’ party tonight!

The HLS cocktail party was held at the Lasalle Power Company, a funky tri-level venue in the River North area of Chicago. It was a really cool space!
While Kath and I welcomed HLS-ers at the front table, we shared a dirty vodka martini. We got the night started off right!

I had a blast meeting other bloggers, Twitter friends, and Carrots ‘N’ Cake readers in person tonight. The blog community is really amazing. I can’t wait to meet the rest of the HLS attendees tomorrow!

Usually, at events like this, I take tons and tons of food photos, but very few of people. But, not tonight!! I was snap happy!

I ended up getting so wrapped up in conversation, I barely had time to eat, which is so not like me. Food is typically a priority for me, but I had such an awesome time meeting new people and talking the night away, I almost missed out on dinner!
Right before the food was packed up for the night, I made myself a plate with a turkey burger slider, a veggie quesadilla, and some pita chips with spinach artichoke dip on them.

Hitting the hay! BIG day tomorrow!!

whenever i’m hosting/the center of a big event i rarely eat, which is very rare for me as well. but the excitement and adrenaline often makes it so that i have no appetite or time! have fun today!

I think I’m going to be the 33 person to comment- but I LOVE THAT GREEN COLOR! Amazing! Your hair looks fantastic! Glad you got ‘people’ pictures! Those make memories! It’s not like you’re going to be old, and flipping through albums full of cheese/cracker etc close ups and feel nostalgic! (unless it was really good cheese!!! lol)
