Look at that sad pug face!!!
It gets harder and harder to say goodbye to this dog. He whimpered and whined when I got out of the car at the airport this morning. It totally broke my heart. 
Man, I’m such a softie.
I’m pretty sure my husband didn’t want to say goodbye either, but he kept it together. No whimpering and whining from him! 
Before Mom’s tragic departure, Murphy really enjoyed the car ride to the airport.
It was a beautiful morning with lots of delicious doggie smells in the air.
Breakfast
I rocked the overnight oats for breakfast this morning. In the mix: oats, ground flaxseed meal, walnuts, vanilla soy milk, and two scoops of Barney Butter. Delicious as always.
I also enjoyed a glass of iced coffee.
At the airport, I whizzed through security. There were only a few people ahead of me in line. Actually, the Delta terminal was practically empty. I guess not a lot of people travel on Thursday mornings?
When I arrived at my gate, I was informed that my flight to Orlando was delayed two hours. Boo! But, to make up for the “inconvenience,” Delta compensated the folks on our flight with a $6 meal voucher. Free food? I’ll take it. I don’t feel inconvenienced at all now!
Lunch
I headed straight to Starbucks to grab lunch. I ended up choosing their Turkey & Cheddar sandwich. I usually steer-clear of pre-made sandwiches (they just bug me out), but this one sounded tasty and it looked fresh. Hopefully, it’s everything I hoped for!
I also ordered an iced soy latte. Why not, right?
TNT Fundraiser

Home Update
We have our home inspection today! 
Sadly, I’ll be sitting on a plane to Orlando when it takes place, but I know my husband has things under control. He loves that type of stuff and will take copious notes to fill me in later. I definitely trust his judgement. I hope everything goes well. I’m sort of attached to this house now!

Hello – Long time reader, first time commenting. I love your blog and I like the new design. I wanted to let you know that when I try to access it on my iPhone, the pictures take a while to download, and then, right before the whole page is done loading, they disappear

Murphy is so leggy!
My dh filmed the inspection and it was so useful over the next 2 months in being able to revisit the house to see, for example, where the windows were, the outlets, did that room have 1 closet or 2, is the dishwasher to the left or right of the sink, etc etc etc.

and prepped my morning oats
This is a three part answer. I can’t go to sleep until I:
1. Kiss and tell my husband how much I love him (for the rare moments when we are apart, a goodnight call has to suffice)
2. Curl up in a ball on my side
3. Strategically place my LP (seriously, my little pillow that was my version of a blanket, doll, teddy bear, etc. as a kid and creatively named LP) under my chin – provides so much comfort, haha no, I am not 3, but its only a pillow.
Enjoy your trip. I can’t go to sleep unless everything in the house is in perfect order and I am setup and ready for the next day. Total OCD.
I can’t go to sleep unless I’ve locked the front door and turned off all of the lights.

i can’t go to sleep unless: the bed is made, my water bottle is full in the fridge, my face is washed, teeth brushed, i am relatively clean, the dishes are done, i am set up for the next day… i’m so ridik.
The dishwasher is running, my alarm clock is double checked, my lunch for tomorrow is packed and in the fridge, vitamins are set out, and my coffee maker is ready to go in the morning!
Sounds like a lot of little things, but I have to be out the door by 6 a.m. for my commute, so the more that’s ready to go, the better!

I can’t go to sleep until i’ve washed my face, brushed my teeth and gotten cozy w/ my dog Roxy under the covers. <3 Murphy is adorable btw.
I can’t go to sleep at night unless I roll over,snuggle into my guys’ back, wrap my arms around him and kiss his cheek as I tell him “Night baby, sweet dreams & God bless. I love you.” One night I had partaken of a few too many cocktails, he brought me home and I literally fell into bed (i do this maybe once a year) and obviously did none of my ‘rituals’. The next morning he commented (after teasing me of course) that he couldn’t get to sleep for a while… it was just “right” & I hadn’t kissed him goodnight.
AWWWWWWW… he’s so sweet.
